Firstly, Crack Squirrels sounds absolutely terrifying. Secondly, the jumping around would be enough to putt me off. I need time to settle into a character which is why I like relatively small casts. I'm also the kinda person who wants my story wrapped up in a bow. What I will say is that at least the author tried something different. Who knows, perhaps as time goes by they'll refine that style into something that really works. This could just be the shaky start of something great in the long run. Storytelling needs the risk takers willing to experiment.
I also love to get to know my characters inside and out (why I love Stephen King) so yeah... squirrels on crack is a pretty accurate description 🤣 And glad I'm not the only one who likes things wrapped up in a nice little bow... hope all is well with you 🤗
@@krisreviews Yeah, I'm all good. Local construction kept me from recording for a while but it seems like I'm back on track. Got a tag video coming soon and a writing update with some news I think you'll like. If we don't speak beforehand: I wish you and the rest of Team Kris the best of christmases and a wild new year.
Squirrels on crack? Lol The setup sounds interesting, but the many characters and that they don't tell you anything about the game sound like it kind of ruins it. Roscoe has to have fun, too lol
Have you read Masters of Death? Or any other book by Blake? Let me know what you like/don't like about her books in the comments below 🤗
Your reviews are honest. That is why I watch. I don't think this book would work for me. Thank you for doing your wonderful, honest reviews!!!!
Thanks so much Rod!!! This book is definitely for people who like a certain style... that's just not me 😅
I'm confused. But intrigued. But I like thing wrapped up too. Squirrels on crack 😂
Yeah... that review cracked me up! But I also feel like it's an accurate representation 🤣🤣🤣
Great job on what seems to be a difficult book to review Kris. The book seems way too scattered to be coherent.
That's definitely how I felt 😅 But I've seen other reviews from those who liked it so... just a personal preference I guess 🤗
The book looks gorgeous! Though I get high fantasy from the art, not what you described. And I hate when book blurbs leads the reader astray.
I don't think I've ever seen a blurb that is sooooo disingenuous to what the book is actually about 😅 But yeah... such an awesome cover 😍
You look so beautiful my friend. Masters of Death 💀 loving that cover . Interesting story but curious 🧐
Aww thanks Bad you're so sweet 😘

It's kind of the perfect way to describe this book lol... which is a shame cause I do see what the author was trying to do... oh well 😅
