Sound absorption panels are soft with a sort of Sponge like surface to help Absorb sound as well as more Flat instead of Rigid like his to prevent sound from bouncing and reflecting inside the space. Sound Absorption Panels "example" Something you may find in Cinema's are meant to absorb any extra noise from being picked up from within side the room. So that the Noise and sounds don't bounce off and reflect all over the room. With Sound Absorption panels, it prevents the sound waves from reflecting and bouncing and helps maintain a nice Even Studio like experience in regards to acoustics #2 The amount of Foam and locations of it is also a factor.
