Great job, thanks for sharing this! Useful and well done 🙏 I really appreciate this version and the way Clapton plays it so smoothly, at the same time with amazing power
By the time I'm finished tabbing out a solo like this I've probably heard it over a hundred times. And it's not just passively listening. I'm trying to hear every little nuance. So by the end of it it's hard to get the damn thing out of your head! haha. Thanks for watching!
Also at that point something like muscle memory could kick in. Especially if you play a lot from the same artist/s. You play it so often, you can’t help but memorize it. At least for me that is.
My favorite Layla version! Thanks for the tabs!!!
That’s the way ya do it. Play the guitar on the mtv
That ain’t working, that’s the way you do it
Loved it!

Hi Steve, thank u so much for your tutorial! Just made it through the solo and feel super happy :)
Excellent! So satisfying getting a solo note for note!.
i absolutly love your choices in this channel , and i suggest you check the solos in 'have you ever loved a women Live On Tour 2001'
Thanks Mohaned! I love that tune and era of Clapton. I’ll have a closer listen
what about the 2001 one more car, one more rider live on tour version?
How did you get this sound? What is your guitar/amp settings etc? Thank you for making this. :)
Hey Fareed, this is just using the Neural DSP Toneking Imperial MKII plugin. Don't remember what settings, but nothing special.
@@stevecarereguitar Thanks for the info, dude. You're awesome!
Plz correct me if I’m wrong but is this solo in the key of d minor?
doesn’t he use a slide though?
No slide on this one! On the album Duane uses a slide throughout the song. This solo is all Clapton's fingers though!
How does any one remember all that tab?

0:23 full bend onwands isnt tight enough rhythmically. Rest is awesome though.
Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated
great solo, but NO layla solo beats Duane's slide magic!
Fair enough! There is some great slide work on the album version.
