I own a 2.0 SOHC, VR4 never arrived to my country. If the car fails, I will buy another one. I'm absolutely in love with 8g galant. THERE IS NO CAR as beautiful as this nowadays.

Do you recommend this car? (Are they reliable?) I'm considering to buy one
I have one, my Dad had two of them and they have been very reliable. They are a 20+ year old car of course so won't be as reliable as a new car, but look after them and they should be pretty bulletproof, parts seem to be cheap as well where I am (UK). Mine has done 150,000 miles so far and is still going strong.
I wouldn't buy one expecting not to have to do any work to it, they're an older used car so will have things to fix but they're worth it.
They're getting pretty rare here, they are cheap to buy so people don't want to put any money into them and scrap them as soon as something needs fixing.
If your after one then grab one, they're rare and the prices look to be climbing.
P.S it sounds odd saying my Dad had two Galants, as though he had to replace the first one he had but that's not the case, so thought I'd clear it up before someone got the wrong idea.
The first one he sold was well looked after and in great shape, my family couldn't afford to run it as we went though a rough spot. We were really sad to see it go.
The second one my Dad sold to a friend of his as we were replacing it with a BMW 5 series M-Sport.
I bought it back off of my Dad's friend when he was going to scrap it, as he'd only got it for a few hundred and didn't want to pay to fix it.
It had an oil leak from the oil pan seal which required a £5 tube of RTV sealant :)

They come in manual and 4WD, same gearbox as the EVO 4-5-6 lancer (W5M51)

Zależy co masz na myśli pisząc „drogie w utrzymaniu”?
Wersja z filmu powyżej czyli 2,5 v6 w połączeniu ze skrzynią tiptronic i tym samym moim zdaniem najlepszą wersją pomijając vr4 daje bardzo dużo frajdy z jazdy, części ogólnie nie są drogie…
Inaczej sprawa wyglada ze spalaniem bo auto potrafi wypić w zależności jak lubisz jeździć, ale dźwięk silnika rekompensuje wszystko czysta poezja dla uszu…🙂
