As the daughter of a deceased veteran, I am not just voting for myself. That the armed forces / military would do their bidding backed by new layers of strict discipline, which could translate into a 'do this or else' type of situation. Else being at minimum, lose your job. It has worked in other nations for other dictators. They would have 4 years to ease in this transition, and probably start a 'new branch' of special military for the hard liner types. Trump is looking to lose big right now though. So all this dark and pathetic stupidity will have to go elsewhere.
As a retired VA Nurse I was taught by my Father who was a veteran Coast Guard that to serve veterans who protect our country is the most rewarding and honorable career you could have. So, Florida’s 25 electoral votes went to Bush, who one by just one electoral vote.

Combat vet here. Was never really into politics. I do remember on base at the chow hall we only had Fox News on. Even during deployment in Iraq, our chow hall had Fox News all day long also. But I thought it was because we had Bush son as president. It should be illegal to play any propaganda channels in any government or military building.

The GOP has claimed for decades to be the party of patriotism and the military. As their identity as military members is typically central to them, I imagine there are some things they just don't think about much, at least consciously. It probably causes a great deal of stress.
