I’ve ordered mine and they are supposed to arrive August and I look forward you your review since it was your earlier G3 review that pushed me towards Warrior and I have no regrets. Cheers P.S. Hurry up and review already….✌️
The blocker I adapted to instantly, I was a tad worried with the double index it'd take a while to feel okay while holding the stick but that wasnt the case. It's the most comfortable I've felt with a new blocker by a lot.
Are the G5s and G6s full NHL spec now in terms of size? My understanding is the other models were a touch smaller. I have G4s and GTs and the pads and gloves look significantly smaller than my Hyperlite and Axis sets.
Gloves I think were always in spec the G6 pads are now filled out to spec. G5's were still a tad thinner. I honestly noticed the little extra weight but its not performance significant.
@@jasondearman3743 TBH I could totally be wrong but I know the GT G5etc were more rounded which can give them a smaller feel/look. I have the 6.1 now and off the bat it for sure felt bigger.
I got a question : I’m getting ready to order my G6’s, I just want to know if the weave would slide as good and would hold up/ more durable than the regular Jenpro ? Any info would be great, I can’t find anything about it anywhere. Thanks
Ive had weave on non Warrior gear that I remember sliding quite well. Personally I think there’s some benefit but nothing huge. The plates are going to do a lot more than anything else out there. These still slide more than previous gen warrior pads due to construction alone. The weave difference you can probably make up with better mechanics, the plates are massively game changing.
Do the plastic slide pads catch on each other when walking? I've tried the 3M on the knee and they would squeak so much when walking and it peeled off after catching on each other.
oh my...I can just be ultra jealous! congrats

Awesome. I'm still working on my senior G4 sets, but I don't play anywhere near as much as you.
Realistically I could still be in my G4's even with as much as I skate but I like new gear 😁!
Looks interesting with that double index finger protection

On ice review coming soon? I get so excited when warrior gear comes out just for those reviews
Some time within the month. I need to give the slide plates a real chance and I need to adapt to the different glove design.

@@GoalieUnion Thanks. I didn't realize that about the gloves. My Axis 600 looks massive compared to my GT glove.

Sick! What’s the sizing and what’s your measurements? 🔥
35.1 + 1.5 I fell right into that size per Warrior's chart.
Nice

@@GoalieUnion good to know, I’m coming from G3’s so I’ll just stay with the regular jenpro 👍
The G6.1 is supposed to be warriors version of the 580
I cant tell you it feels fantastic in the hand but I will very much need to get used to the change in angle.

Not at all, you wouldn't even know they're on till you're sliding a mile.
You got the 580 wow
Decided to mix it up! It's going to take a bit to adjust to but man it's nice.

Hows it at stick handling wanna switch to a 580
It takes some getting used to but not impossible. I feel mostly confident handling now.
Shoot, I just ordered one! Almost seems like it's own thing, super excited!
