Thank you guys.. For bringing up the "Sweden-hate" issue.. People feel like it's ok to write nasty things to me daily about the swedish entries as if I have some personal responsibility for them.. But I guess having "swedish" in my name (which I have had since youtube started). These days is probably a trigger and a free pass to bash... It really needs to be openly talked about and it is frustrating..

The reason (well at least main reason) why everybody stood up after the Key change in Medinas song, was because Medina themselves shouted "STÄLL ER UPP!!!!
    Which means EVERYBODY STAND UP!!!

Elisabeth Andreassen has competed in Eurovision Song Contest for both Sweden and Norway (She is 50-50 Swedish -Norwegian).
She even won the whole Eurovision for Norway in the year 1985 Bobbysocks - La De Swinge . In 1982 however she represented Sweden together with Kicki Danielsson =Chips

The main reason M&M represent Sweden is because they work in Sweden. They have the record deal with a Swedish label and work with the producers, songwriters, PR and other creatives in Stockholm. And they are popular in Sweden!

The award that Cazzi Opeia and Loreen got for "Tattoo" got is "Melodifestivalen Hall of Fame".
It's an award that songs, artists, hosts etc can get, it's about if you done something memorable in Melodifestivalen.
This year it was "Tattoo", songwriter Fredrik Kempe ("Hero", "La Voix", "Popular" och "Undo" and 30 other Melodifestivalen classics), Edward af Sillén (amazing scriptwriter for Melodifestivalen and Eurovision, he wrote the script from Eurovision 2013 and 2016 (and everytime people praise Måns & Petra I say "Thank's to Edward af Sillén! He wrote their script and the lyrics to songs like "Love Love Peace Peace"), host and comedian Kristian Luuk (former husband of this years host Carina Berg), and Lotta Engberg (who sang "Bugaloo" back in 1987).

    13:20 - Liamoo's laugh
I think it could be because in the semi-final the fire in his hand didn't work. So he'd move back there to get it but it didn't light up and so for a second he looked a bit surprised or maybe dissapointed. He even mentioned it in his pre-recorded "interview" before he went on stage in the Finale. But this time the effect worked so the smile might be a bit of a relief mixed with being pleased that the choreography fully worked. Or maybe the stage-hand did say something amusing about it working which put him in a good mood.

While it wasn't my pick to win, I don't mind "Unforgettable". In fact, it somehow was my most Scrobbled song last week. The song is not trying to be a Portuguese Art song. No, it's a slick, pop song that is extremely well produced and polished. Congratulations to M&M and good luck in Malmo. Is it my winner? no, but it's probably going to be in my Top 15. I love watching Georgi's reactions whenever you diss him, Shane. Lol. Thank you, for the video. It was a good Sunday afternoon watch.

Hello you cute guys! 😊❤️ Good evening from here but looks more like good morning in the video😉. So glad to hear that you seem to have had a wonderful stay😊. Yes, I and half the rest of the world are equally shocked by the 8 points for Dotter from the people? 😯 No, she didn't sing 100% or hit the high notes at the end, but the song itself didn't deserve to come last.
About Jacqline, I'm going to call the police?? 😅 She got some of my votes anyway, thought she had even more sass in this performance. Shane, you didn't lock yourself in the toilet and cry so you missed the rest? 😂❤️. Shocked by Maria's low placement, she hit the notes this time and slayed. She hung out and hugged Martinus at the after party, super cute (they're both single😉).
Danny also got some of my votes, he has such incredible charisma and sings amazingly. He missed a line of lyrics at the beginning which I didn't notice. The song is a bit too "polished" which I think is the reason why it didn't go all the way. Smash got my votes, they had maxed out the staging with extra pyro and lighting effects.
According to the debate today, some believe, as well as myself, that part of the reason for the odd voting result is due to the children/the younger ones voting for the "cheerful" songs such as Medina and Cazzi instead of the more stylish and "well-made" ones such as Jacqline, Maria and Dotter.
😊😊❤️ Oh Shane and Georgie so glad you like M&M. They got the most votes from me. There's so much hate on this one, I'm just trying to block it out. I agree, this is a grower! I have listened to the studio version a lot and then everything fell into place. The Faithless girl in me might be part of why I gett off on this heavier club beat. Yes, there are similarities in some parts of the song to their Salva Mea (full length).
(I was at their concert in Stockholm many years ago which transported me to another galaxy💫😎).
This song won't win, I'll be happy if it makes the top 10. But they are super professional, I feel safe among all the possibly uncertain vocal efforts. They have charm and enjoy themselves on stage, this is innovative and futuristic. This particular sound stands out and makes people dance, it gets stuck in the head after a while. I also think this nicely well-composed number can do better than expected among more odd and bold choices. They are such genuine, well behaved and cute guys too 🥰. Sorry for the long comment, hope you can recover now.. 😊💖💖

I really like your analysis! Your good at giving your personal subjective feedback but also in addition a more unbiased and objective feedback which respects the will of the people! I really respect that!
Regarding the negativity of the song at the after party. I guess most of the people at the party were “hard core ESC fans” and imho they are heavily biased towards avant-garde types of songs and needless to say that’s not what Mello delivers! I also got the feeling that this group of people doesn’t like the stronghold the Swedish music industry has on Mello and I assume they see M&M and Unforgettable as part of the establishment so that could be a part of the negativity as well!

  • @uyoon4581

Dotter had some vocal mishaps, which she herself seemed to notice during her performance as well, and the song was a little boring honestly. Before the show Jacqueline was my winner but the problem is the song sounds very good and powerful when you hear a snippet of the chorus but in full it's lacking some kick to it. The dance break wasn't really a dance and the staging with the box was a bit static, the performance felt very monotonous.
Medina was the best performance of the night in my opinion, great energy. But let's face it don't we all just want Bjornzone to perform at Eurovision ;)

In 1987 we were very close to sending Arja Saionmaa with the song Högt över havet. She's from Finland. I remember being so angry, really pissed off avtually, that she didn't win. I never liked the calypso weird song we sent to ESC that year (Lotta Engberrg 4 bugg och en coca-cola). There are some 2nd places in Melodifestivalen that still urks me to this day, This was the first and I was just a little kid at the time.
