Like you said, it's a solid knife. From my perspective the Solis Lite is a little narrower in the handle so isn't as comfortable in use as the Luna. They have smoothed out the spine on the Solis too whereas the Luna has a ninety degree edge to use with a fire steel. The Solis blade is fantastic in use even in the D2 you get with the Lite and the tight back spring is a nice touch. In all honesty if I lost the Luna it would be replaced quick smart (after a lot of swearing), the Solis, no great rush (still a fair bit of swearing though).
I've been impressed with Real Steel, I think their designs show a real understanding of aesthetic yet practical form. Even the recent modern Rokot I reviewed seems a smartly made knife when so many other moderns are not.
Have been carrying a Solis !ite for several months. In my opinion not a pretty knife, but very functional and with very decent steel. The thin flat ground blade is a slicer.
Great little knife from Real Steel. I just bought the Real Steel Barlow and I really think they did a great job with it. Will to pick up this one too. Thanks for the great review and the channel. 😊
Thanks Thrifty. Great review. I have the Luna lite and love it. I had assumed that the solis had the same handles - but can see here there are a few differences. There doesn't seem to be the same jimping on the tang behind the choil as you get in there Luna - which is a shame as that makes it feel safer. I put a thumb stud on my Luna to give me OHO. I guess you could do the same with the Solis as it has the same long nail nick.
Love the blade shape on this but I'm with you on that lanyard position, makes no sense to me Awesome review John 🔥
Yep not a fan of the lanyard hole position, but otherwise a smart knife. Real Steel does good work.

Real Steel makes some quality stuff. Thanks, for having a look at it, Gary.
I like this one a lot. Even the funky stop.
Real Steel features this sort of half stop on many of their knives. I think it's a good idea. Thanks, Randy.

Yes you possibly could add the the thumbstud. I enjoy the Luna too, and it's probably a touch better knife overall If forced to choose.
Nice great looking knife and great size!!
Thanks, Mike. Tell Mrs. C hello for me. I hope you guys are doing well.
Nice edc option. Thanks 😊
Yes, a nice modern slipjoint. Quite the contrast to the Whaler.
I’m a traditional fan but I do own a RR blue denim work knife
That's a pretty good one for what it is, Prop. I like the RR work knife.
I like it!
Good stuff as always brother👊🏻
Thanks for the visit, Tim.

You’re welcome!
Wondering what your favourite modern slip joint is TK?
That's a tough one. I'm pretty partial to the Boker Plus Boston lately.
I saw modern then the word slipjoint.... you guys are hopeless. I can't help you! I love the content though. Great looking knife brother!
Well, what can I say, I like a good slipjoint. Thanks, Frog.
@@ThriftyKaniffy I know brother. I always enjoy seeing what everyone is collecting.

Thanks, Bruce. 👍
