We sailed on the Pride in May 2024 - my first Carnival cruise. I booked it because it leaves out of Baltimore - so drivable distance for us. Ironically, our cruise was rebooked out of Norfolk due to the bridge collapse. I pretty much agree with your assessment of the ship... I really wanted to try some games in the casino but I am extremely sensitive to smoke, so that was a no-go. I was really surprised at HOW smokey it was! I would have to cover my mouth/nose if I walked through to get to a venue on the other side or I would actually go up a floor and then back down. I can't stand the singing in the dining room - we would go early and leave asap. I thought the entertainment was GREAT for our booking. I went to every show in the theater and we went to all of the comedy performances, too. Red Frog was a go to place for live entertainment or for games. We're booked again on the Pride in May 2026... again, only because it leaves out of Baltimore.
The singer in the MDR is Ken from Ireland. He's the head host. He is always on the ship that sails from Baltimore. He was on the Legend leaving from Baltimore before the Pride took its spot. I like it. He's fun! Super nice guy too.
Great food. Super crew. Not over crowded rooms spacious. Temp in cabins is cooler than comfortable for us but can’t wait to cruise with carnival pride again
I love Carnival, but the drink service in their casinos has been terrible. It's bad on the Firenze, Radiance and Panorama too. Not sure why CCL doesn't add more staff there, the casino is their money maker.
As with the rest of life, unfortunately it all boils down to money. Carnival wants to invest as little as possible so that they can retain as much money as possible, especially if they’re publicly traded, which Carnival is.
Pride completely updated all equipment in their gym, which makes me grade it above the Legend that still had old barely woking equip in 2023. Of course maybe they did an update
Are you planning on doing a vlog/list of your favorite cruises and why? That would be a great topic I still haven't been on a cruise yet but hopefully, maybe 2025 but living in NJ, I think I might want to go on Carnival Legend. I think this is probably something that your fans would want to know. Thank you in advance Michelle and Josh

Love the music! Great review. We liked the Pride when we went on last year. It's our favorite class ship.
We liked the pride overall and I think the Horizon is still our favorite… I guess we shall see come February if the Horizon still holds up!

We enjoyed the Pride and this class of ship!

Exactly this. I’m not sure why they aren’t providing better service in the casino!

GO LIONS!
I don't need to watch. But I will. I wouldn't go on Carnival if it were a free suite!. 🤢
Honest question, why did you feel the need to comment?
