@dTom Stamps If anything, Fela Kuti would be a Democrat, or something like it, whatever the Nigerian counterpart would be. Do you actually think Fela Kuti was / would be a Republican?
@@JoshuaOakley exactly. Fela took conservative Nigerians to task in almost EVERY song he ever wrote. He was into traditional culture, but was very liberal in his interpretation of rituals, artwork, dancing, etc. I;m not sure if he would have liked Obama, as he was very critical of even Bob Marley for using music the wrong way. He was an enigma, but certainly not even close to today's conservative republicans. For heaven's sake he walked around in his trousers. lol
