- This big wooden box has been sitting in my garage for far too long now so today we're opening it up so we can install what's inside on the GR86! It's a new Sayber Design Carbon Fiber hood! Safe to say that this is a statement piece that's going to completely change how the car looks. What do you guys think?!

Can’t wait to see it color matched. But I’d recommend this (I did it with my Seibin hood)
Have the paint shop tape off the vent inserts, then paint the hood red. Then when they clear coat it, remove the tape so the two rectangular vent sections stays carbon. Would look insane

@@austinwolfe2373 if you like the look, thats okay. But a lot of track guys get it for the weight loss and paint match it to look factory. I also dont like the exposed carbon hood look personally. Looks like the car was in an accident and haven't had time to paint it yet. Carbon roofs or carbon mirrors look cool to me though.

I just got picked up a GR86 SE a few months ago and ive been watching all the your videos to get an idea of what I want to do to the car. Hopefully I can pickup the interior light kit when you have some more in stock for the premium model and some vinyls soon

I think something like the see through colored paint. ofc thats probably a lot more expensive but being able to see the color and the weave at the same time would be dope

Hood looks great! I’m still contemplating what’s next for my GR86. I want to keep it as OEM+ as possible and not ruin what they got so right to start with. I added tail light overlays and window tint. I’d like to choose an exhaust system before the end of summer and possibly some suspension bits. First track day is scheduled for late June. Can’t wait!

Bought your rear overlays a few days ago, plus a set of brakes+pads. After that I was thinking about an AOS and maybe some suspension.

I have a lot planned for this year with my 22' BRZ (Limited M/T in Magnetite Gray). Last year, I was able to install the TOM's rear-end options (diffuser, duckbill, and titanium quad-exit exhaust), and an airlift 3P management. These upcoming months, I have the rest of the TOM's exterior parts arriving including the widebody fenders. I also have an OEM GR86 front bumper assembly on order to complete the kit. I am truly excited for what's to come and I wish the best for all of you and your builds.
Planning on doing some poly bushings on my 01 miata and trying to do as many autocross events this summer for some seat time. Congrats on 35k! very high quality videos, always a fun watch.

As soon as you showed the hood, it was apparent why they went through what they did to package it. Just beautiful! With you car being red, it just pops out. As for the roof, I'm on the fence but I'd probably keep it on.

I plan on doing some suspension to my 2018 WRX Ltd. I too have a CF hood and just took the roof wrap off so I’d recommend you do the same, it’ll draw more attention to the CF hood and make the car overall look cleaner.
Great video! I'm installing clear sidemarkers this weekend on my GR86 but aside from that I should have a pretty quiet summer as far as modifications go (unless someone buys me an AWE Touring Exhaust for my birthday 😅)

Going to finally build out my stock e46 M3. I have new Apex wheels and super sprint exhaust to install. I just bought a FK8 but going to keep that stock for a while and just change small things like a short shift kit
I’ll be taking my GR86 on my first ever track day this summer. I’ve been keeping my modifications to a minimum as it’s my first time owning a car worth modifying but so far I’ve got my driven media smoked overlays, imported to the UK 👌👌 I’ll be adding struts for the hood, and just upgrading the pads and brake fluid for a little less brake fade. Big plans for the future but plenty of time for that!

I like the FA Style from Seibon personally, that being said I love how the Sayber Design one looks on your GR86. looks very agressive and gives the GR86 some attitude it needs.
Hell yeah! I plan to add aero kits and aggressive splitters to my Corolla Hatch as well as adding a nice carbon spoiler from the GR Corolla.
