    The book is pronounced "DOW-DUH-JING".

      Pronunciation is not important. Even different Chinese dialects pronounce it differently. And I seriously dought 2500 years ago, Lao Tzu pronounced it that way.

      2500 years ago Mandarin language does not exist.
      It is pronounced in Cantonese tongue “Dao Dac Ging”
      Lao Tsu is not his real name. No body called himself old boy(old self).
