'The song was written because I needed to remember it... to remember Him.'
Such a true statement - God knows we need those places, those markers of remembrance.
He filled Israel's history with them - Ebenezers, altars and monuments built in Canaan... and we too, in our own journeys of faith are often given singular instances in our lives that mark us differently... significantly... like Jacob's limp. We learn not only the need but the joy of depending and leaning upon our Ever-Present, Strong God, our Faithful Father and our Sure Savior.
