I used to catch this show every time I went to Las Vegas. This was one of the longest running shows in Las Vegas, and was the essence of old Las Vegas. The headpieces and oufits were the original calling cards of las Vegas showgirls. I’m glad I was able to see this show at least 5 times.
There is a scene in Barbara Streisand's "Funny Girl" that is very Jubilee-like. Of course the movie was about Fanny Brice performing in the Ziegfeld Follies. The Jubilee Theatre used to be called the Ziegfeld Theatre.
banneryetwave And they filmed the exhibition fight between Apollo Creed against Ivan Drago in "Rocky 4" by Sylvester Stallone and some of the costumes and showgirls appear in the movie.
MGM made several movies about the Ziegfeld Follies and Florence Ziegfeld and some of them have some scenes that are quite Jubilee-like. Also HBO did TV specials on two other Don Arden shows. One of the shows was "Hallejulia Hollywood" and the other was called "Hello, Hollywood Hello". Those specials can still be found if one looks hard enough.
My friend was in this in the early 2000s and LOVED the experience!

Worked on both Jubilee and Helo Hollywood Hello for 5 years each. Incredible one of a kind experience.👏👏👏👏
Kick out Carrot Top and Blue Man Group. Jubilee is way better for a comeback. Wishful thinking!
