@@remembertheblacksabbath so how hot are those pickups? I had a early 70’s sg special, p90’s are great but get noisy
@@donsmith5385 so this is the $2,399 Gibson Iommi SG Special “monkey”. It has Iommi P90’s in it. Not very hot, 7k or so. Had to have the covers soldered to the pickups. Before that they had horrendous feedback at wide open volume. They’re good now. I have a John Birch Monkey with Jaydee Monkey P90’s. I’m thinking about putting those in my Gibson and putting the Gibson pickups in my Epiphone monkey. The Epiphone P90’s are mediocre.
@@remembertheblacksabbath I read somewhere that Gibson has specked out Iommi’s P90’s Gibson rarely do what they say. The vintage P90’s have really hot wound pickups in the Jr’s and specials
