Probably will never make it there, but your information regarding camping in the park was very well done.

How do they do these utube rondavues when it says max 6 per site .how bad is it when digging cat holes as far as digging up you know .thanks .

I've never been to one of those YT meetups but I'm guessing they are just kind of ignoring that rule. Each site has a sign with a "moon" symbol on it that is supposed to designate the cat hole area. Apart from the sign, the area isn't really defined. To be honest, I had the same thought as you and was afraid to go digging in that area, lol. I only had to dig one and I just wandered deep off the trail instead. The moon sign by site 4 was right next to a really steep drop off anyway. I don't see how it would be a good idea to climb down there to dig a cat hole.

Thank you for a very good review.
I am 68 and getting back into winter backpacking.
I will start hiking about 5 miles per day with a pack weight of 30 lbs (including food and water).
As I go I will slowly increase the distance of my hikes.

Great information especially for a video format. Mohican is one of the few in Ohio I haven’t made it to yet. Just subbed…thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the sub! Mohican is really nice, worth the trip but avoid the weekends if you want to try for a park and pack site. It's also a great place to day hike.

@@personaltimeoutdoors actually ended up going yesterday and had a great backpacking trip there with my daughter. Pretty much had our pick of any site but when I looked at the check in sheet I definitely saw what you’re saying about weekends being busy.
Your video was very helpful in planning the trip. Thanks again!
