Thank you Arlene you gave a very beautiful and understandable lesson about silver solder. I bought a tube of silver solder to solder two pieces of silver together but I could never get it to work. It is possible that there was something wrong with my procedure🤷🏻‍♂️ I might try it in the future if I discover my error.😉👍🏻✨

Hello. In this 4 part series I am creating a pair of earrings using Metal Clay. Metal Clay is as its name suggest, it is metal (in this case fine silver metal) in clay form. After shaping, drying, and sanding the piece is fired with a torch or in a kiln to create a solid piece of metal. I did not use any solder in this project.

The solder I used came in the syringe I bought it from Home Depot and it was pretty expensive for just about 5 mL of solder very little and it didn’t work 🤔. When I get the opportunity to work with silver I will use the Japanese silver clay thank you ☺️
