Shelia has had Many Years of Learning about how to make things Work. Do the History on Shelia Her Time Has Come She Has Waited ALong Time for this. ILove Shelia. She Is the Reason why we are celebrating a change in our TEAM.
When Terry named off the 90s Lions players and asked what they had in common and they said “Won a playoff game and were locker room leaders” and Terry says “they we’re screwed over by the Fords”, that exchange alone tells the whole 60 year story of how the Fords treated success
Not only did they trade Matt Stafford, but everybody felt good when it was done. The fans gave it a blessing and supported Matt's Superbowl run. The Lions got a QB that is working out and draft picks to build a team. How often does that happen.
Honestly I low-key think that's the reason that we were blessed this season as lions fans with promising steps of the organization.. sometimes I feel God has a way of opening doors even in something as simple as sports.. it's about the lessons we learned as a collective as a people and we are supporting someone else decisions who stuck with you for years and did all the right things that they could do that. No need to be angry when they leave.. support them and that's what we did as Lions fans and this year we were blessed because of it ☝️HOWEVER this is just the beginning!😉
Going from Martha to Sheila was the biggest turn around. Sheila absolutely LOVES the team where Martha didn't really care. Sheila should have been the owner from the beginning.
Darren, I wonder do you see any parallels between the Lions today and the Wings when Mike Illitch bought the wings? Mike really changed how the wings were run and was actually dedicated to creating a winner. Sheila seems to want and has shown she wants to bring in a winner. Just curious to hear your thoughts on that.
Lions finally have a owner that has a great GM and Head coach that knows how to draft the right players in Any round. Getting Amon St Brown, Kirby Joseph and Houston were the steals of the draft. Hutchinson is already impacting games like Aaron Donald and Bosa.
Stafford wanted out but I truly believe that if it were any other GM we wouldn’t have gotten what we got with Holmes. Other GMs would have been a lot less.
My opinion: Sheila Hamp is a competitor. She wants to win and she said so in an interview with Danni Rogers back in August. I have the feeling she is just as frustrated with the way the Lions have been run through the years as all us fans have been and now that frustration is playing out in great management.
My question is...now that we know what kind of a talent recognizing GM we have, did he want to trade Stafford cause he didn't see the talent he wanted in Stafford?
I’m with Neal on this one. Stafford didn’t want to leave he loved it here but stated as much to save face. Trading him not only acquired draft capital but sunk us to the top of the draft boards. It was such an obvious move. Holmes is a swindling savage. He knew Goff could excel with the right pieces and McVay was dead set on a strong armed QB.
It's the difference between wanting to satisfy the masses with building an Edsel and swing for the fences and kicking everyone's ass with a GT40. The mindset has changed
Calvin Johnson wanted to be traded, the ford's didn't do that. So he retired. Imagine if the ford's actually listened to the players. Imagine what the Lions could've gotten for him and others.
Holmes didn't come in and tell Ms Hamp he his plan was to trade Stafford for draft picks. Stafford told the lions he was done with the lions brain dead approach to team management, and wanted to be traded. Preferably to the Rams.

Yep, penny wise, and pound foolish, the absolute failure to see the big picture. When you don't have a clue, you get 60yrs of abject failure.

one of her biggest move is firing Quinn and Patricia after thanksgiving...
It’s about time that the Lions turned the corner big time

Bosa or Should you say big tuna grandkids?😅
And she is putting in the player prefer turf.
And she called other NFL owners over the Rams vs Seahawks game for the horrendous officiating

SMASH THAT LIKE BUTTON, good conversation.
the best thing Matt Patricia did here was hire Ben Johnson. And Dan keeping him.
johnson worked with Campbell in Miami
@@RK4824 true
@@nakdrofnats9963 sad part that if Johnson is hired as a head coach, he will be part of Matt Patricia's coaching tree, lol

Brad and Dan wanted nothing to do with stafford. They knew Stafford wasnt a winner.

Management has to care about you for you to care about management. Same with all jobs

Before Brad homes the GM probably would have heard Stafford and said yeah we're not trading you
Biggest thing,... they never wanted to pay the right coach and the right coach knew they were cheap and would not play players and coaches
