I had one of those. I really liked it and carried it every day. I gave it to my brother when I visited him. He still likes it. I have a CQC-8 now, but I miss that CQ-15.
Carter, I watched this vid again after watching your 15 vid from ten years ago. It’s cool to hear your thoughts then and now-ish. Looking forward to seeing your custom cqc-15 vid in ten years 😅 Keep the sharp vid coming bud 🗡️
I purchased a T-storm 15 as well. Really wanted this finish on a blade, and this is my second favorite Emerson knife and handle design, first is the Roadhouse (regret selling). I just can't believe Emerson put low serial numbers on T-storm finish blades! This is crazy where are the normal CQC15 serial numbers at, in the thousands. BTW when I heard your unmistakable voice, I was glad, really enjoyed your previous channel back in the day.
I just bought my first Emerson in like 10 yrs. I was so disappointed with the quality for the money. Just bought an Appalachian to give it another try. Some things don’t change I’m so bummed. The best Emersons I own are zero tolerance and protech.
@@darvinclement8404 I have a 2008 cqc10, 2011 horseman and a 2010 roadhouse. I love Emerson’s blade and handle profiles but the builds are so poor it makes me want to tear my hair out. Back in the day I collected them more than others because they were available and more affordable. I can’t believe I thought 400 for a strider was expensive hahahaha
I got the satin/stonewashed version, I noticed the quality of the knife isn’t too good, I feel like the liners aren’t really done properly and parts of the blade aren’t even nicely finished where I think they should be finished just because it would be more aesthetically pleasing, and the g10 scales are honestly a little too aggressive. I had to sand down the clip side. Maybe I’m nitpicking about the finish on some parts but idk.

The picture show's a arcane design. I hope one day i can get an Emerson knife. Thanks for sharing Carter. Greetings from Austria
That 15 is a sexy beast, you’re making me want to get one.
Picked up a serrated 15 a couple months ago, really liking it.

My issue with Emerson is the afterthought of a pocket clip
Does this have the double detent. I bought one about 10 years ago which did. Was my favorite Emerson blade design at the time.
No. He hasn't done the double detent in the productionnline for a number of yyears. You would need an older one for that
you got a cool knife
Thank you
I like the blade on the CQC15 but I wish the handle would be more like the commander to that is more neutral to accommodate large hands of any size.
Who did you get the scales from? Been looking for some for my mini tsf 15

I have a Protech 7 and a ZT 0630, definitely better Emerson’s. Still have my 2011 8 and mini-Com though.

@@IronsightErik you not. It’s a 300 dollar knife. The finishing is horrible and there is blade play. I just love the blade shape but that’s it.
Philips and slotted screws…WTF?
Emerson has always done it different
You didnt want to like the best one? WUT? LOL. Check out th cqc-10 Snake.
