The fact that Ichibei can see the true nature of Zanpakutō, even before their wielders do, adds a layer of depth to his character that goes beyond just being a powerful figure. It’s as if he holds the keys to the entire spiritual universe. Kubo’s clarification that the spirit itself names its abilities feels right, but Ichibei knowing them beforehand is terrifying. His ability to hold such knowledge feels like a massive, untapped power source that could potentially upend everything we know about shinigami
@@visionary4787 Something else to note is that you have to think about Ichibei as the physical embodiment of the Soul King, because he’s quite literally the closest thing to the Soul King. Not even Ywach holds a dime (or else Ywach wouldn’t want revenge on Him in the first place; meaning, Ywach is his own separate being).
@@danieljakistam9409not everything is bad writing clown 🤡 lol. It's fitting for his character and title. You must be a Yamamoto fanboy if I guessed right lol.
This makes sense since Ichibei is the editor of the Bleach universe. I'm sure he's privy to information even Kisuke and Aizen would not be aware of, as impossible as that sounds. The monk gives and takes away, edits or changes outright. Yhwach's ultimate fate is a perfect example, ironic too.
Funny that yhwach berated ichigo as if getsuga tensho was a tired and overused attack when ichigo learned the name of it from old man zangetsu. I think ichibei being the vassal of reio (who obviously possessed the ability to see and change future timelines), being part of reio likely grants ichibei a greater view of what spans in front of the 3 worlds. I'm not surprised at all that he knows the names of the zanpakuto and abilities before they awaken, yhwach knew things as well and even contemplated that reio knew his end would come the way it did, implying it was a willful choice to allow it to happen the way it played out.
I like how this question answers how omniscient Ichibei is, it’s one of those things like “Ichibei does name everything, but he doesn’t at the same time.” A comparison is “God knows all and creates all; so what does that mean for humans, the things that we name and invent?” This is if you’re religious, if you’re not, just take it as a hypothetical: God is in everything, therefore, He knows the name and all about the things that exist as they are created. Also, with the power of The Almighty, every possible existence and timeline exists at the same time. And is already named or created in this infinite possibilities.
It’s actually interesting that Renji technically has 2 bankai, like how Yumichika has 2 shikai’s. Maybe it’s possible for some to have multiple release states? I wonder if it’s possible to train specifically for that. Having something like 2 shikai or bankai could be incredibly useful for versatility in combat and even fooling your enemies
Kisuke's Swiss army knife of a shikai has diverse set of named skills. Same goes for Tosen and Shunsui. Yamamoto and byakuya has multiple named attacks in his bankai with distinct differences in each attack.
Not very "2 bankais", it's more a variant depending how you name it from the beginning. And it's not very about versatility but it represenr more the relation between the Zanpakuto and the shinigami.
@@gontandutry3396 no I completely understand that it represents the bond and all. But it also means that they technically take on more than one release form. Forms that judging from Renjis case, are vastly different. It would useful to use against a foe, using your “fake” bankai to get them to think your getting serious or to cause then to slip up. Once they think they have it figured out, then you switch. Or there might even be a case where the “fake” release is actually more useful. It could also be it’s just a different form of manifesting the zanpakuto’s abilities, similar to how Yamamoto had different releases.
@Goremejy The thing is the true nature of the Zanpakuto is the most optimal against their enemy. Not that the "fake" are not bad, but they will not reach the all the potentiel the Zanpakuto can give.

This isn't at all surprising when you consider how zanpaktō are made. They are the souls of shinigami merged and folded together into a blade so if you know the personality of the victims that got made into a sword you know the swords potential and personality. Lets say you take kenpachi and a thousand other shinigami and forged them into a blade. Would that blade not just have the personality of kenpachi and just want to fight strong people? Is there any other personality that could subvert such a powerful personality? Even Renji plus a thousand other shinigami would probably just make a blade that is kinda cool and edgy but also lame and goofy as hell.... Your bankai with the renji zanpaktō would disco hippie sandwich supreme or something lol but the kenpachi zanpaktō would probably just be a near copy of his zanpaktō and make you a kenpachi demon for the bankai....or kenpachi would just be summoned to fight on your behalf.
The potential of the zanpakuto comes from the Shinigami who's soul it's born from. The essence of the Tamashi is basically the zanpakuto. The Asauchi is something which allows the essence to come forth fully (culminating in the Bankai). It's effectively a medium to bring forth the full potential of a Shinigami's soul.
I think at the time of cour 4 if we being lucky cause in klub outside we got the news (which is like 1 month old) that cour 4 script has stared aka pre production already started which means kubo is done with additional content of cour 4. It might be possible of kubo supervising scenes in anime apart from it I think his work of additional content is over. So I believe he might start hell arc at time of cour 4.
