We are proud to announce “Hold Your Heads Up”, the first one of a series of singles, where Jah Bami & Carlton Shepherd have joined forces to offer an old school reggae vibe as well as a necessary uplifting message for the days we’re living in.
After a few years since Bami & Carlton met each other, they finally could gather on last Summer to create some music together. With Jah Bami on vocals and Carlton on music production, they have been able to create 4 new songs with Jah Bami making the most of his skills to adapt on four completely different riddims.
All the tracks will be released within the next months on both of their labels, first as singles on Bami’s Sebat Records and eventually as an EP on Carlton’s The Shepherd Records. So this is just the first single and will come up with a lyricvideo as well.

JAH BAMI: THE SINGER
Natural from Trinidad and Tobago and currently living in Miami, Jah Bami is a versatile artist capable to sing on all kind of Caribbean music, from Soca to Reggae, from Ska to Dancehall,as well as keeping it fresh rapping on Hip Hop rhythms.There’s a reason why his style was called “Mutant Chant” during his yearlong Japanese tour.
With a musical journey started at the age of six, he is not only capable to sing and rap but also has the same grace playing the steel pan, the national instrument from Trinidad & Tobago. A must to listen!!
Last Summer he’s been touring in Europe with Ras Jammy as Suns of Dub and performing on some major Reggae/Dub festivals all over Europe, catching the opportunity to join Carlton at his home & studio to create these upcoming releases.
CARLTON SHEPHERD: THE PRODUCER
Born and bred in Catalunya (Spain) and proactive in Reggae music since 2003 as an artist as well as a promoter, Carlton Shepherd has been composing and producing Reggae music since 2008, releasing it under different names until 2018, when he finally started his own label: The Shepherd Records.
Despite the few releases available at this moment, Carlton has a good amount of own productions ready to play on his Dub live sessions, being most of them recorded with live instruments and keeping a Roots Rockers vibe all along his music.
