    Can you give more information about the tweeters? How did you install them, was it plug and play?
    Sorry! I'm new to this, and have the same car, and help would be very appreciated!

    How did you connect the loc to the factory radio? I heard the box is inside the glove box housing and how did you finger out the speaker wire colors to connect from? I got a 2024 chevy trax 1rs and want to upgrade my system

      I got wire diagram from my gm mechanic buddy to figure out what is what.
      To connect the LOC to the head unit you can tap into the speaker wire going into the factory amp. The factory amp is located under the dash passenger side behind the glove box on the far right side. Its a silver metal box with a couple harnesses. You just have to squeeze the sides of the glovebox and pull down to remove it.

    I have the evl 12s on 1200 watts having to get the secondary battery broke them In they are ready for the 2000 watt amp got the 1/0 gauge wire and isolator they already shake the car extremely violently mirror doesn’t stay straight it goes down immediately I did put the infinity Harmon refs in them with the adjustable tweeter loudness and god bless I just use them for the highs and mids the LT comes with the tweeters so I was able to tap the focal tweeters got the OEM type brackets did some sound deadening and tore down the lift gate and sound proofed as much as the rattles including that terrible license plate with foam it all looks factory except the sub but fuck it it sinks the roof half an inch and the trunk shakes violently

    Did you amplified the door speakers too?

    • @GrowingWithDragon
      @GrowingWithDragon  5 месяцев назад +1

      They are currently amplified by the factory amplifier in the Trax. Doing the math they are currently getting ~50RMS, which isn't far off from the 60RMS the P1675 door speakers are rated for. At the moment, they sound great and have decent sound and bass for my liking. I do, however, have a Rockford Fosgate Prime 300w 4 channel amp in my garage i can hook up if need be down the road

    • @TheDanielTruong
      @TheDanielTruong 5 месяцев назад

      @@GrowingWithDragon They actually have an amp? I thought the door speakers are just powered by the head unit. Do you happen to know where the amp is located at?

    • @GrowingWithDragon
      @GrowingWithDragon  5 месяцев назад

      @TheDanielTruong they do have an amp, and its hooked up to a 20A fuse for power to help give you an idea. The factory amp is located under/behind the dash on the passenger side behind the glovebox. You need to remove the glovebox shelf and the plastic fan tray(one T20 bolt) in order to access its location. It has 2 wire harnesses plugged into it(one green, and one white), sharing power with the door speakers, the ANC microphones, and OnStar controls.

      @@GrowingWithDragon Now with the ANC mics did you have to disconnect them? Or they still work as they should from factory?

    How did you wire in the tweeters? I have a 1rs that dosent have stock tweeters. Can I just hard wire them to the front door speakers?

    • @GrowingWithDragon
      @GrowingWithDragon  5 месяцев назад

      I have the 1RS in the video, and that's exactly what i did. I just tapped into the front speaker signal. The crossover my tweeters come with filter out to only the high signal and have no impedance on the door speakers either for added information. The driver side tweeter is wired up through the A-pillar and through the headliner down to the passenger side to the factory amp to avoid having to deal with feeding wire through the door wire harness and rubber boot.

    I got a 2024 trax n want too put subs but I’m not sure how too hook the subwoofer up without tapping into my radio screen

    • @GrowingWithDragon
      @GrowingWithDragon  5 месяцев назад +3

      You can install a LOC (Line Output Converter) to connect your subwoofer to the factory stereo system. The LOC converts the speaker-level signal from your factory head unit to an RCA output, which can then be connected to your amplifier. Connect the speaker wires to the input of the LOC and then run RCA cables from the LOC output to the input on your subwoofer amplifier.
      I am using the high level input on the Rockford Fosgate R2-500x1 amplifier which negates the LOC.
      I hope this helps! Feel free to ask if you have any more questions. Good luck with your install!
