Then again Demetri at this point was one of the biggest bullies in the show. Bullies don't always use fists, he constantly insulted and put down people he considered to be intellectual inferiors for the first couple of seasons. That's the whole reason he got his ass kicked by Hawk.
@@DireHammer Ah and Hawk was a saint before that, am I right? The only ones he talked down to were people who were rude to him or bullied him. Whenever he insulted someone it was more of a retort than him being antagonizing. Doesn't make him a bully. It makes him a smartass. All you people who act like bullying the bullies makes you the bully have the same mentality as highschool teachers who punish kids for fighting back.

Sam got lucky 'cause Tory went HollyWood and flashy at the last minute in season 2 and Tory accidentally hit MiYagi's picture and motivated Sam and Miguel, Hawk, and Demitri stopped the fight. Tory won fair and square despite Silver's antics with the ref who probably had no intention to go through with the deal but just accepted the payment afterwards just to make Silver think he was always on board and should've disqualified Sam for illegally using kata during a sparring match and was the same ref who disqualified Hawk in season 1.

That kick wasn’t very Karate-like in form. Ironic. For a proper Karate Mawashi Geri, you chamber the knee first and snap the leg. The way Demetri did it was too heavy and if it isn’t strong enough or blocked, the leg could be easily grabbed. There’s a good video here on RUclips with Michael Jai White showing the difference in a movie.
