I was so happy when he was traded to Denver. I'm so happy that Jokić has a workhorse like Gordon, and Gordon has the best passer in the league in Jokić.
Also credit to Joker for making Gordon way better compared to his time in Orlando. IDK how tf he was not in All Star game, but revenge for that and slam dunk contest will be even better if they win the whole thing.

Agreed. The only criticism I have of AG is sometimes he doesn’t go up strong under the basket when a defender is right there. Instead of dunking or getting a foul call he’ll go up for a layup and get blocked. Durant blocked him like that like 3 times in the last series, and AD got him a few times as well. But I’m really happy he’s on the Nuggets, such a great complementary piece to Jokic.

Apsolutno.

I know it’s petty that I’m still bitter that he didn’t get that slam dunk trophy but reaching the finals and having a chance to win a ring with a really solid defensive role. I’m happy for the guy. He never gets sloppy in the defense all throughout and a reliable finisher inside the paint.

AG & MPJ have been their secret weapons. Both are perfect 3rd/4th options behind murray and jokic. AG in the dunker/ defender spot is perfect, and having a 6’10 shooter in mpj, throw a 3&D guy like KCP or a playmaker in Brown, and you have a GREAT balance to your offense and defense. Nuggets play great together, fully accept their roles, and know who to go to, where and when.

AG was a defensive monster this post season. He indeed plays a great supporting role to Jokic. Now I would love to see MPJ get traded after this season(coz he either makes 3s or braindead plays instead of passing the ball) for a bunch of decent 3 & D guys and we'll have a dynasty.

I wanted to see Porter traded because he's been a one-dimensional player -- just taking 3s -- but surprised to see him playing much better in the playoffs. More defense and effort on the boards -- and even some decent passing at times. I'm much more concerned about the Denver bench right now -- very weak. Bruce Brown is good but that's it.

@@randygraham926 Yeah definitely had some improvement, but he cost and almost cost the nuggets some games for those brain dead plays (that inbounding violation he did in the crunch time should be the last straw imo). Probably because his steals and blocks #'s aren't eye popping, the two main barometers for dpoy, but his defensive impact for Denver is on another level.
He can practically guard 1-5, at least 5's under 7ft.
Sort of a bigger and stronger Scottie Pippen. The guy is an athletic freak and you're right he should be in the running for dpoy, I think from now on he'll get noticed more for his d.

I remember watching him before going to the Nuggets and thinking "Here is a guy who is only worth for highlight reels and the dunking contest" which is not an insult, to do these things requires athleticism that I will never have, but he translated his skill set to be an essential piece of a chip contender. Watching him on the Nuggets is the same highlight reels of before, but with substance. There is motive, and there are victories behind his moves.

Gordon is to the Nuggets what Stephan Yelle was to the Avs championship team. Yelle was a real world-class workhorse and that is how I see A. Gordon being on the Nuggets. Hard working, always at the right spot because of his quick, smart thinking and superb athleticism. He'll only get better with his team as it has such deep talent through the bench. They are all terrific and do their jobs well. Please don't ever trade Gordon bc trading Yelle from the Avs was the beginning of the undoing of Avs as a unit. Gordon is fantastic and I appreciate a talented, hard-working athlete who keeps performing at a high level. Keep up the great work and stay healthy, all of you. YEA NUGGETS!!! Every last player has a superb work-ethic and coaching staff should be congratulated for finding players that exemplify this quality.❤ 😊
