- Race of "gray" aliens is finally taking action in game. The model of this creature was in game files since 0.7.0. This event always (probably) happens on day 43.

Five fingers, two toes, and plantigrade feet means that's probably not a reanimated ariral. A body with pale skin, a massive oblong head, and large solid black eyes does fit the typical description for a gray even if they're way taller than I would've expected. I guess this must be what the grays actually look like.
The head seems to be encased in a helmet of sorts, so we don't know what their heads and faces actually look like.
I’m gonna be honest these designs go way, WAY harder than tall sci-fi catgirls OR scary crystal machines, I love it

It's funny cuz Nose was hostile to the idea of even adding grays initially.
@@gotgunpowder IIRC it's because the traditional Gray design and whatnot didn't fit with VotV, so he changed them to fit the setting better.
Nose went from "I will never add grays to Votv because they don't fit the theme" to designing a new take on the grays that makes them fit the theme.
So they're grungy cyborgs. Explains the cyber-boar then, and the freaky flamethrower tank with its grotesque and somewhat impractical geometry.

The escalating threat of the Greys, and the presence of an entire second map make me think... We're not going to be sticking around with our base for too much longer.
Probably because the Grays are going to make a power play and destroy it.
Could be a good idea to get as much of the unique stuff as you can in that case and put it in the mailbox? If it functions for that

Kinda seem like Combine with how some of those cybernetics are hooked up. That freaky helmet feels like it's replacing the original head of whatever that thing once was, not to mention the mechanical spine it's got too

I actually encountered one of these (I believe) when I was going to transformer 3 to deal with the copious piles of trash; it was getting dark and I was running out of garbage rolls, until I heard rapid footsteps and got immediately startled when I went to investigate it (more like to get the hell away on my ATV) and then I saw it after its light drew near, before it ran away from me. I was driving away fast but I could also hear it moving towards me as if indecisive if it wants to chase me or not. It was certainly an experience alright.
Before I forget to mention, this was on like day 13(?) so not the same event, but I'm certain it was a Grey after initially believing it was the Antibreather.

It…. It kinda looks like an alternate version of SCP-096…. I don’t know if anyone else will get that but… the abnormally long arms and fingers with blood at their ends. Then there’s the long legs and abnormally malnourished torso with the covered face…. That and it’s an almost grayish white color. It looks like 096 but I know it’s not…
