    Hi cool video man really well done. I currently own a 2017 BMW X3 28i Msport with the 20 inch staggered wheels. My car is a rocket off the line so I don’t quite understand when you say it has trouble getting onto the highway merge. Im curious if the Msport has a different power feel because if I place the car in sport mode and move the drive lever over to S transmission mode the thing shifts like a DCT literally and is fast to 60mph. I really think the X3 28i is under looked by people it has TONS of power but I would only get the Msport version. My 2 cents. Cheers.

      I have a similar car and don’t quite understand the claim that it lacks power. Quite curious, honestly.

    Great review. I'm a week away from receiving my first ever SUV, a 2017 X3 x35i and I'm just watching every review I can in the meantime to pass the time and get more opinions on what is by most accounts a great car. One of the better reviews out there.

      Thanks for the comment! Great decision on the x35i over the smaller engine, you definitely won't regret it. If you haven't seen our 2015 X3 xDrive28d Full Tour (ruclips.net/video/IsaY9nY9LNY/видео.html) we show all the features of the car. Aside from having the rear sun shades that one was fully loaded.

    It's a great car even in petrol least petrol doesn't freeze as fast Diesel.
    Your right car companies should ask the customers how they want the the mirror or the high def screen Indash or on dash

      That's true! The X3 xDrive 28d we featured a while before this one does pretty well in the winters here, it's a close personal friend of ours so we have a good idea how it is to live with long-term.

      It's not unfortunately. Some cars need a higher trim level for blind Spot Monitoring and rear view cam.

    Would a used 2017 with 140k highway miles driven by an older grandma be worth picking up? Trying to see how long it might last and engine/transmission reliability

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  Год назад +1

      Should be lots of life left on it, but it’s always important to get the service history to know what’s been done. Sometimes major maintenance milestones haven’t been hit which could mean big bills in the near future.

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  3 года назад +2

      Depends on what you’re looking for, strictly luxury? The new BMW X3 is really nice, excellent performance and top notch interior finish. The Mercedes GLC is also really nice with better ride and softness. I think I’d take the X3 xDrive35i if I was in the market for a 2017.

    And I don't know personally about the materials in the newer ones but the first generations where looking like is been build up in recession times.
    But again is a metter of personal choice and taste.
    Definitely not me...

    Hyundai Tucson 2017 vs Mazda CX5 2017
    Which one would be your suggestion for regular use

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  7 лет назад

      Great question! I think the 2017 CX-5 is going to have some very compelling features over the competition once it goes on sale. Mazda has had some issues with new engines for SUVs, mainly the first gen CX-9 suffers and the CX-7 was cancelled outright due to problems. Mazda is launching the new CX-5 with their second generation SkyActiv engines, which have gotten more reliable. I'd probably wait to see pricing on it before making a decision. We're hoping to get our hands on one as soon as we can!

      Agreed, we like the diesel option (which seems to be missing from bmw.ca's online configuration page), or would like to try out the 35i inline 6 model to see if there's better power. Realistically though a large majority of those who buy the X3 aren't using it at peak power, it's to get back and forth from the mall, work, and soccer practice.

    V8 all day long.
    How many years I can drive a bmw V8 automatic with the money I m paying for a newer bmw x3 diesel?
    Plus 2.0 d for a SUV?
    I need from A to B?
    Fiesta petrol manual 1.1, spacious easy to park, with enaf options to enjoy driving in town.
    The money for Bmw x3 diesel new if I m looking around I can buy a flat rent it on nightly basis using specific sites and I ve got more than enaf to drive around in a classic and stunning Bmw 740i.
    Why?
    Because I can, because I like and because that makes me happy...
    All the best to everyone.
