Cornmill Transects June 2024

Weekly Butterfly and Dragonfly Transects at Cornmill Tree Park and Meadows continued in June. The weather in the first two weeks was too cool for butterflies and the mud persisted in various areas. An added difficulty was uncut grass growing profusely in the pathways of the meadows making for trip hazards. The last two weeks were warmer so meadow browns were in abundance (over 100 seen each week) and we did see some dragonflies too.
