So JB takes 35% of the line haul rate listed? Is Landstar the same % or better/worse? Are you a power-only owner-operator? Sorry for the questions, but looking around for a decent company. I have 4 trucks and 4 dry vans trailers.
Yes, they take 35% of the linehaul and we get 100% of the fuel surcharge. Landstar is 70/30 but if you have your own trailer it’s 75/25. I do power only.
@@donttruckhere more load options and no more trailer hunting. I’m literally sitting in GA right now with no trailer after I dropped my load and can’t pick up my next load without one and dispatch is telling me there are no empty trailers in the area. So basically if they can’t find me one by the morning I have to cancel my load and basically be stuck in GA till they can find me one.
@@donttruckhere The rates are basically the same, you just have more options. Our load board will have maybe 600 loads on a good day, Landstar has thousands. Plus if you get in with the right broker you would never have to look at the loadboard again. Just run a dedicated lane.
Landstar definitely blows all these companies out the water cuz they don’t have company drivers. But JB’s rates are still better than a lot of these other mega carriers
The rates aren’t bad if you know what lanes to run. The only problem is there just isn’t enough loads, so if your not the one booking that load your screwed.
I believe I passed you today going up I81 in coming through Harrisonburg VA going towards Winchester
That was me. Lol.
@@Againsttheworldlogistics that’s a good looking truck man I tell ya the videos don’t do it justice
@@301trucking thanks. Appreciate it

@Against The World Logistics. this may be a trick question, lol. But what is Landstar's average CPM?
@@harveyroberts2274 to be honest the rates are the same everywhere, the only difference is Landstar has more load options
Amen to that son-in-law
How much does it cost to switch your truck to a different company
It would be $500 for the processing fee.
Hey bro please show loads from Los Ángeles
After J.B. hunt take there 35% your not getting $3-$4 a mile
What is the new company you will be going to?
Land Star

Please do Iowa
Doesn't a heavy load make the truck hard to drive though
No. It’s built to haul heavy loads. It just burns more fuel
It wasn't supposed to say distinctive it was supposed to say. Do you have to pay for your own gas sun
Yes. I pay for my own fuel
Leave my Jazzy alone
Distinctive you have to pay for your own Gas son
