Guinea-fowl! Good watch dogs. The ones my uncle had would alert call if there were snakes or anything that seemed dangerous. I saw the flock gather around and attack a piece of black hose, thinking it was a snake. Viscous when they want to be, lol.

Этим курам у нас обрезают крылья чтоб они не летали, они зовутся Цысарки, царская птица,очень хорошое и деетическое мясо. Молодцы что завели, индюки тоже супер и можно свиней не держат.
Я сама уроженка с Кавказа. У нас мясо индейки считается вкусным и на новогоднем празднике обязательно готовим "Сациви".Очень вкусно. Рецепт можно найти в интернете.

Hi Zon you can cross a guineafowl with a chicken. It produces a good meat bird . Best result is rooster with guinea hen in a separate cage , collect the eggs and use a chicken to hatch the eggs . Love you traditional farming style
Hi zon, you said that you cant call a vetmed due to far distance.maybe you can attend if there are trainings or seminar on basic herd raising for you to gain knowledge on herd production,with this you can administer medication to your animals during time of circumstances.better if you have this basic knowledge,it will improve and strengthen your skills in herd production.
