- Patrick leaves after seeing Robin's comfort with the clumsy carpenter. He returns home and tells Liz that he thinks Robin is sleeping with another man. Liz tells Patrick that it's not uncommon for women suffering from postpartum depression to have an affair. Patrick talks to little Emma and vows to not let whatever happens with Robin to affect her. Robin returns home. She tells Patrick about what happened in Rochester, but leaves out the part about the clumsy carpenter. She admits that she is suffering from postpartum depression.

I love watching these old episodes and seeing how wonderful a dad Patrick is
Watching what an amazingly good friend Elizabeth was to Patrick and Robin when the postpartum depression hit, and then after Robin supposedly died. I don’t know why people don’t like Elizabeth I think she’s wonderful
I will always say I love the friendship that Elizabeth had both with Patrick and Robin, she didn’t pick sides and I thought that was wonderful

Re-watching all these old episodes with Patrick and Emma, I just fall in love with them again as a father and daughter they’re just so cute...It’s so funny to see this 180° turn that Patrick made to be a loving husband and a loving father, as opposed to his glory bachelor days when he didn’t want to be pinned down to anyone
I forgot how sad these scenes were! I felt so bad for Patrick here! Glad Elizabeth was there to help him understand where Robin was coming from. Glad that Robin finally came home. After she went to Rochester and came home was when the PPD story started to get better.
ghfan51184 no it's not. after this she tried to kill herself and went off her meds. it wasn't until after patrick staged an intervention that she got the help she needed

I just noticed watching this scene again they have all this baby stuff on the table, and the two end tables next to the couch is so cute..
All Robin does is fold laundry...
This is literally my favorite girl that played Emma before Brooklyn took over, because she looks so much like Patrick and Robin..

Unrealistic belief that everything should be perfect, Elizabeth is spot on...
Sometimes I really thought that as much as I love Patrick and Robin together, because I truly believed that they really made a phenomenal couple, because of Jason and Kimberly having such a close relationship.
The fact that neither one knew how to communicate to the other one ,like Patrick not telling Robin about seeing her, Robin not telling Patrick that her HIV came back years later...
I mean it made no sense. I was like they’re married for god sake’s, you need to communicate with your partner...
Patrick wasn’t going to tell Robin about Lisa until Lisa took Emma and cut up their wedding pictures. And Carly told him not to. When did Patrick become best friends with Carly? A woman that hates Robin.

It was so sad seeing Patrick telling Emma how he felt in love with Robin and how he was hurting.
Now I look at these scenes years later, and also watching scenes of Sam and Jason, and Maxi and Nathan. I always feel like the writers gave more to Maxi and Nathan, and Sam and Jason,
then they did to Robin and Patrick.
Honestly, Kimberly and Jason had much more of a connection, so they made their relationship more believable.
I always wonder if that’s why the writers didn’t let us have more of Robin and Patrick....
They definitely did! Which is baffling because scrubs were always so popular and their chemistry is unmatched! It’s like the writers didn’t know how to write for them, and would drag their s/l out to no end. It would’ve been so great to have more good times than all the angst 😩
@@kenyababy24 I agree to a point. I think the writers weren’t really sure how to write for such strong talents. I think the writers that wrote for Kimberly, Tristan and Finn when Robin and her parents were around, were better writers... so that would’ve been the 80s into the 90s...
I think some of the writing for them in the early part of the relationship was really good, but having Leila and then having Lise Niles storyline go on so long, just made you feel the writers are being lazy
Re-watching this and listening to the way Patrick feels, I wonder if he understood how Robin felt when he cheated on her with Lisa? Lisa is somebody that Robin had to see every day, this guy that all Robin did was kiss was
somebody that she never see again and Patrick either...
I know Patrick is reacting out of anger but he cannot be that dumb that he would think Robin who is HIV positive, would sleep with someone she doesn’t even know. and then not tell them she’s HIV-positive... come on Patrick...

I completely agree. After telling Lisa, the night before after making out with her, that he was going to have amazing sex with her, he got drunk first? That’s what he told Robin.
I like the guy Robin went out on a date with. The "Nancy" style was cute too.
This is where someone is much more aware of postpartum depression that could be objective, that would help a lot more this is what they really needed your character development right now .another character to help them
Of course Patrick is going to get the wrong idea when he sees a man coming out of her hotel room and kiss. I feel so sorry for both of them.
It’s really too bad Patrick didn’t stay for the whole conversation between Robin and Brad or Nancy since that’s what she was calling herself
Why is it that Liz admits to Patrick that what she did to Lucky with Jason was wrong but she doesn't admit it to anyone else. She told him that Jason was a dream and not real but she didn't tell him that. Now it looks like she is going to go after Nic. Robin doesn't sleep around so why would he think she cheated, she is afraid to spread her HIV it's why she didn't sleep with him.
I am not a Patrick fan. I think he was the biggest mistake Robin ever made.
I actually think that Elizabeth and Patrick would’ve been better couple than Sam and Patrick I think they brought the best out in each other
