A traveller accent is somewhat unique to the travelling community, and they have their own unique language called shelta, and Irish county accents are unique county to county. Edit But who am I. Barry keoghan looks just like Joel edgertons character from smokin aces I swear lol great movie though good performance from both actors especially the phone call scene at the end that was surperb acting there
Never heard of this at all, was bouncing around on Netflix and came upon it. Thing has zero coverage, I guess it's not getting hyped by producers with pockets of cash. Thought it was an excellent film, genuine surprise as I was expecting to roll my eyes and skip over to another. Absolutely amazing acting and cinematography. Despite the entire setting of the thing I'd say it's not a gangster film. Maybe someone expecting blocks of coke falling off of trucks, machine guns blazing and yakuza roundhouse kicking then you're maybe after somthing else. But it's rather a man with learning difficulties who's been pushed into a life he does not want and hasn't had the guidance to deal with. Really touching film. Can only imagine it'll get a lot more popular with time, once people randomly bump into it too.
This film is great I watched it last night. Great to see Irish films making an impact like this. My favorite old school Irish film is You Me & Marley, that is a classic.
Great film, amazing acting and film score is superb. But I thought the ending was a little anti climatic. Maybe I am too used to the Shane Meadows style of revenge film. Still an amazing film
