Why companies will go for on step and not for 2 step procedure. What are the advantages and disadvantages of going with one step as well two step?

When it comes to STO Process with Delivery, two step STO process is mostly used by the clients. in my experience, I never see one step STO Process with Delivery at any client. When the plants are located in different cities are areas, two step process is always recommended
Benefits of Two Step process:
- There is a system confirmation as Goods Receipt on System by the Receiving Plant when the Physical Goods are received
- Stock In Transit can be tracked until the Receiving Plant has done the Goods Receipt
- Once the Goods Receipt is done at the receiving Plant, system stock will be increased so the production plan and other stock requirements can be planned clearly etc. such multiple usages are there
Benefits of One Step Process:
- When the Plants are very near and business wants to manage the stock transfer process with STO and also no need additional step of performing Goods Receipt again at the time of stock receipt etc. this process can be used
- If a business considers the time and effort saving by avoiding one additional step of Goods Receipt, as a consultant we should convey the consequences. Based on the Business can take the decision
