If there were moored boats that could be damaged during a hurricane and multiple units like this could Rob the ocean of the damaging power...or if a beach prone to erosion by waves could be fortified in addition to selling energy to the grid, this could be a very lucrative investment.

The cable connection to the pulley system seems crude. This is not a robust system .... how long can this thing last offshore ?
