Sen, As someone who actually knew you since the early 2010s (2011/2012) and despite us never actually going forward to work together on an early project (it was a soccer manga i think), I am REALLY proud of how far you've come. You really achieved many great things becoming an actual mangaka and living a dream that many of us have. For me i still write and plan to publish something in the near future; not manga but book wise. Maybe one day I'll be able to make a manga like you. I am very sorry to hear about what you experienced and the difficult challenges that you had to deal with as a whole. I always looked at your videos occasionally because it made me happy that a familiar old friend was doing well in her life. Whatever happens next for you, know that you have support as seen by your social media fans and people who know you personally (although for me, it's only some extent). I hope y’all heal and I also want to let you know while the company let people know about y’all manga, it’s y’all storytelling and drawing that made people decide to stay.

I'm sorry you had to deal with all of this turmoil. While I don't know many of the details myself (don't have Twitter), I think I've gleaned enough details. It's truly terrible what you and the other creators went through. I find it disgusting that business practices like these are still prevalent in the comics industry, and even as far as your former one. What's even worse is that it's a company that had so much potential and seemingly stood for what felt like a genuine cause. It's truly shameful. The fact that we still have publishers, and newer ones at that, that still think it's OK to take advantage of creators like this is outrageous. I genuinely hope they get fully called out as the frauds that they are. I sincerely hope that you have better success with your future work and that you never have to deal with this level of toxicity again.
Yeah I really like Saturday am they have some really cool stories And there are some very tons of people working there. But there behavior is this truly unacceptable
@@cyberpunklover161yea it’s making me kinda sad because I’ve been following SatAm for along time ((mainly apple black but I did enjoy reading other series Hammer and PARADISE DOWN was 🔥🔥🔥)) I knew small things that was happening but thru out the years I took a step back because of the rebranding and re rereleases of older work I told myself imma wait into apple back releases the 4th volume!!! So when apple black volume 4 came out I dove back into SaturdayAM like I did years ago only to go down the rabbit hole since November finding out all this stuff about company

I think your decision to leave is perfectly understandable, and I look forward to seeing whatever you choose to do going forward! It's always tough being put in a situation like that, but it can be necessary to move on. You do excellent work, so there's no doubt that you'll always find a crowd of supporters and opportunities wherever you go.
Good on you for leaving! I remember when I was younger it was my dream to join Saturday AM. But as I grew up watching their streams/content, the leadership always seemed very off. Do what makes you happy and I can’t wait for future projects of yours! From a queer artist to another good luck, lol!
Their submission requirements were also absolutely ridiculous, no way am I doing 20 different versions of my storyboards just so that THEY can decide which version THEY prefer

Started looking more into as as I had been considering Saturday A.M. a few months back. I don't really drawing draw the kind of stuff that's suited for a traditional comic or manga format, and more of an evolution of gag-a-day. Glad you were able to make it out of Sat A.M.

Damnnn I remember being one of the runner ups in a summer of manga entry getting to speaking with you. You were such a cool and sweet person and it’s sad to see you were shafted out of money for the amazing work you put out. I’ll try to see if I can purchase volume 1 or 2 down the line. Thanks for your commitment thus far over these many years to creating such a great story!

Yea, sorry but not paying artists is disgusting, they want to make money off the work but not freaking pay for it. Again, disgusting. Thats why art is going independent, and when these companies no longer have any real artists its gonna go poorly for em. =/
Honestly even before you left I did felt like a certain creator (won’t name who) did give the n@rçïçisstic vibe and wow my gut was right. I know there’s other good creators there but I only followed Saturday am bc of Saigami. One of the few well written manga there 🙂 I’m so glad u left girl u deserve better and I hope you have a great life doing what you love.

I wanted to pitch my own manga to Saturday AM but now I'm reconsidering. I hope you heal and publish more Saigami as I loved it!

I call them internet rolatiy and their subjects my Girlfrind just calls them the B word and says they are unworthy of my time. Which today was my disability hearing to hopefully put me on US Gov's SSA's SSDI adult child benefits because being disabled as I am I can't work only create here on the internet. And The hearing was great absolutely perfect I just had to share things I'd like to forget and my disabilities that make most people hate me and how my Girlfreind is just in my head. So yeah I'm glad your happy and I want to let you know we are here for you and I can't wait to see what you do next.
Reading your thoughts though I think the industry inside America needs to change and adapt at somethings to become as successful as Japan's comic publication, their ways are so different compare to how most novels here are publish compare to how comics are published in the westcoasts. Sorry to hear your stories.
