Ive been using my 2019 Samsung galaxy tab A with S-pen 8" for a while, and its great. The let down is the 3gb ram and 32gb ssd but the it has an sd card. It works for media consumption and reading word docs is suprising good, 1000x's easier than reading on my note 10+ phone. My 8inch tablet is like reading a doc on a Fold 4. Why cant anyone make a good 8inch tablet other than Apples IPad Mini? Thats awesome by the way.
Huawei lo hacía pero llegó el miserable ataque de USA a la empresa china. La Huawei M5 8.4 de hace 5 años es aún la mejor en ese tamaño pero tiene Android 9.

Don't shop for a Corolla and complain that it's not a Corvette. The M8 is great for its intended purpose: long battery life, pretty good screen, light duty. It's for casual users.
Still loving my Nokia T10 (bought from your video review!) but I also still wish someone would make an 8 inch tablet with a little more "oomph" under the hood. Guess Lenovo is not going to rise to that challenge.

It's obvious consumers will pay $199 for a fast and long-lasting 8 inch rather than sinking $99 for the same old junk.
Samsung doesn't make good 8" tabs because they don't want to cannibalize their Ultra sales but someone like Lenovo who doesn't have a horse in the phone race really has no excuse to not make flagship 8-9" tabs. They have the Legion y700 but it's a China only tablet unfortunately.
Still use the M8 Gen 1 from 2017 as a second device. Still works okay and been looking to upgrade for ages. Just a shape there isn't a decent 8 inch tablet on the market at the moment. Hoping for an updated Nokia T10 like the T21?
@Medicine Man the only thing i'd really argue against a used ipad is that if you need it for, let's say, college, the pen alone costs more than the ipad itself lol. Then add the case, screen protectors etc and you really haven't saved that much money in the end. But other than that, yeah. The used ipad will be mostly superior (example: Apple Pencil gen 1 is $140 and gen 2 is $180, while a Lenovo Pen (no matter which model) will be between $20 to $40)

Maybe a smart tab m8 would be a good option? It comes with a charging stand, and I think it’s supposed to marginally better than the regular gen3 m8, plus the fourth generation ones seem to somehow be a bit worse…?
