I loved your lap book tutorial series. I found it awesome the wire thread or ribbon puller. I had looked for one but didn't want to pay the price they wanted. ty for that, it saved me money as I do have wire at hand. You are easy to follow and also the windows you made I always thought they would be hard to make and you made it simple and I do believe I now can make them. I've been junk journaling for a year and you have thought me so much.

Wow Amy, I LOVE IT! I love things that have little hidden bits, discovering things as you flip through is magical, in a couple of years you can look back on this, remembering what you did. Oh I’d love to make one but I’m not sure if I’d use it. I tried to keep a journal but I end up getting all messed up and get annoyed with myself then I won’t do it. I guess now that I have three autoimmune disorders that makes my head very foggy at times, it would be a good idea to have one so that on good days I can look and see what I did do and what I’m going to do. Right I have to get my craft room de stashed big time (so that I can get in there!) and when you show us how to do one I’ll be ready. So I’m giving myself four weeks to get it sorted, I can only do a little each day, but it’s time enough. Have a wonderful time with your daughter and enjoy every second with her. Huggles xxxAnnxxx

Hi Amy, I live just a little SW of OKC. Our good weather is about to go bye bye on us here. Suppose to be down in 30s, burrrr. Bring a jacket just in case it sticks around. Hopefully it will warm back up so you can enjoy your visit. Our redbud trees in Oklahoma are blooming and so pretty it would be nice if you got to see them. Have a safe trip.

I was wondering if you might be willing to share this same lap book now that you have put it to use. I watch the construction of so many journals but I can never picture how I would use any of them. Even the journals I've made go unused because I just can't figure out what to use them for or how to use them. Thanks so much for sharing!

I am sorry about that, but I can tell you how I used it :) I used this book when we went on vacation to our daughters in OK :) I used the center writing book to keep track of where stopped on the way down, where we went while we were there, and where we stopped on the way home :) I used the pockets to keep receipts, postcards, brochures, and things like that for the different places we stopped :) The book is not full, and I probably won't use it again until we go to visit our daughter this coming year, but then all of our travels to visit her will be in one place :) I have kept receipts, postcards, brochures and notes before on trips we have taken, and I couldn't even tell you where they are now. I always had the best intention to put them in a scrap book or something, but just never got around to it, so this worked great for me, it was already done when I got home :) tfw, and I hope you have an Outstanding Day :) amy
@@aljohn that's completely understandable. I wonder if it's easier to use a journal made for a specific purpose (like a vacation) than for just regular, everyday stuff. i want one like that sooo bad,but i would not know were to start,even the envelope acordian thingy-i dont know how to make those either.. i have been following nik the booksmith for some months now but i could not hang on to her tutorials on this one,the episodes was so long and there was some things i did not understand. i beg you can you please make some tutorials for making this lap book? from start to finish,with the understanding that you might have few folowers who have only made a couple of journals before.. if i try to make that on mu own-without any guidence i will not be satesfied,i tried with nik but she looses me in her tutorials,i mean i love her and i love her stuff and listening to her but when she talkes alot in a tutorial my focus get lost and i miss setain things.. i will of course try again but i would love if you could make a lap book tutorial with the sideflaps and the acordian envelope... anyway i hopw you have a wonderful time at your daughters . bless you

Wow Amy, I LOVE IT! I love things that have little hidden bits, discovering things as you flip through is magical, in a couple of years you can look back on this, remembering what you did. Oh I’d love to make one but I’m not sure if I’d use it. I tried to keep a journal but I end up getting all messed up and get annoyed with myself then I won’t do it. I guess now that I have three autoimmune disorders that makes my head very foggy at times, it would be a good idea to have one so that on good days I can look and see what I did do and what I’m going to do. Right I have to get my craft room de stashed big time (so that I can get in there!) and when you show us how to do one I’ll be ready. So I’m giving myself four weeks to get it sorted, I can only do a little each day, but it’s time enough. Have a wonderful time with your daughter and enjoy every second with her. Huggles xxxAnnxxx

I live just a little SW of OKC. Our good weather is about to go bye bye on us here. Suppose to be down in 30s, burrrr. Bring a jacket just in case it sticks around. Hopefully it will warm back up so you can enjoy your visit. Our redbud trees in Oklahoma are blooming and so pretty it would be nice if you got to see them.

I was wondering if you might be willing to share this same lap book now that you have put it to use. I watch the construction of so many journals but I can never picture how I would use any of them. Even the journals I've made go unused because I just can't figure out what to use them for or how to use them. Thanks so much for sharing!

I am sorry about that, but I can tell you how I used it :) I used this book when we went on vacation to our daughters in OK :) I used the center writing book to keep track of where stopped on the way down, where we went while we were there, and where we stopped on the way home :)
I used the pockets to keep receipts, postcards, brochures, and things like that for the different places we stopped :) The book is not full, and I probably won't use it again until we go to visit our daughter this coming year, but then all of our travels to visit her will be in one place :) I have kept receipts, postcards, brochures and notes before on trips we have taken, and I couldn't even tell you where they are now. I always had the best intention to put them in a scrap book or something, but just never got around to it, so this worked great for me, it was already done when I got home :) tfw, and I hope you have an Outstanding Day :) amy
@@aljohn that's completely understandable. I wonder if it's easier to use a journal made for a specific purpose (like a vacation) than for just regular, everyday stuff. I'll play with what I have and go from there.

i want one like that sooo bad,but i would not know were to start,even the envelope acordian thingy-i dont know how to make those either.. i have been following nik the booksmith for some months now but i could not hang on to her tutorials on this one,the episodes was so long and there was some things i did not understand. i beg you can you please make some tutorials for making this lap book? from start to finish,with the understanding that you might have few folowers who have only made a couple of journals before.. if i try to make that on mu own-without any guidence i will not be satesfied,i tried with nik but she looses me in her tutorials,i mean i love her and i love her stuff and listening to her but when she talkes alot in a tutorial my focus get lost and i miss setain things.. i will of course try again but i would love if you could make a lap book tutorial with the sideflaps and the acordian envelope... anyway i hopw you have a wonderful time at your daughters . bless you
