I loved this one! The poor old guy rattling around the house that just kept getting more crowded. I think he was dissatisfied with his fake legs so he kept getting new ones. Quite a sport and cute! Thanks for this video.
Beautiful place , so sad to see it rot away . Out of 11 children, not one there to fix it up or at least sell it 💔 . Great explore and what a war hero to live to 104 and be double amputee back in those days thay didnt even have antibiotics. Bet he had a very interesting life😊
his kids are probably dead or really old when he passed; 104 is insane if he had kids young like they did at 24 his kids would have been 80+ already when he died they are probably long death too now.
Hello hello!!! 🤴❤🤴❤ That looks like a fairytale 😍 Love the castle from the outside and love its architecture!!! The tower is so lovely. And its location is really nice serrounded by all these green trees, the drone shots really help showing the beauty. There is indeed a lot of things to see inside of this place. But my favorite part of it is that living room, so medieval! Love the chandelier and the huuuge fireplace, i never saw one like that! So big and beautiful. That room was really cozy, the star of the show. Btw guys, i introduced your videos to my student to watch them during his break time, and now, he is addicted and enjoying them, and always asking to watch you both explore these houses together. I will let him watch this one soon, he's gonna enjoy it 😊 Thanks you two for another great adventure in amazing France. See you next time, bye ❤
That electrical unit in the silver box is a old fashioned tens unit. The bedroom fits the legs because the man was probably smaller and the smaller bed makes it easier to get in and out. He must have spent his later years watching television in that room.
Love that fireplace down stairs. I've seen drawings of early American settlers that had fireplaces large enough you could sit in them. Have a fire to one side and a bench on the other. Very nice place. I hope someone comes and rescues it since they have alarms on it now. Thank you for another wonderful tour.
Hello Maureno and Remon! Very interesting history of the owner of the Castle. Big propriety but it's strange the quantity of clothes and many leg prosthesis. Really incredible place 😊❤🤗👍.
Hey dear Maureno and Remon from fabulous Urbex team Explomo, thank you for sharing this very interesting tour through that abandoned château somewhere in France. Besides the very messed up rooms there were still some beautifully furnished rooms visible which had a total time capsule vibe. I especially loved seeing the living room and some of the bedrooms. - Your introduction to the video was again such a delight to listen to, - really beautifully formulated in wonderful English. Respect bro! Wishing you all the best, peace and kindest regards from cold and snowy Switzerland.
An excellent exploration, guys. I am intrigued that the castle passed several generational eras, and continues to stand. I hope someday this castle will be recovered from the moldy invasion. Anyways, a great historical discovery- keep it up.
16:44 this is a Sun Dial. Place it facing the sun. In an outside clearing is best. As the sun rises & falls, the shadow of the dial ( the vertical insert in your hand ) reveals the correct time of day.🌞
The round metal thing on the table, that you thought might be part of a clock, is actually a Sundial. I have one just like it. The sound is not so bad, I can understand it fine. 😊
29:40 It’s a facsimile of Napoleon Bonaparte’s will! And it is in any case a very beautiful castle, pretty architecture, beautiful proportions, magnificent fireplaces and high wooden ceilings, magnificent woodwork and library 28:49 etc... the bad sound was not a problem!
21: 41 here in the states boaters used these portable TVs for sports & Weather while enjoying their boat activities. Before smart phones these were really popular in the 80s & 90s.
I just don't understand why humans started building such huge places to live. Way larger than anyone needs and rich people still do that. Such a waste when they mansions are often abandoned and the money could have served a much more worthwhile purpose. Anyway love you videos.
Hi boys, greetings from Brasil ,hi Remon,Maureno how are you? beautiful castle intrigued by the many prosthetics, right? The wonderful rooms,l really liked today's video, congratulations boys, you are beasts .😘😘❤️❤️kisses from LucianaLu 🇧🇷REMON😘 Maureno ❤️
Such a wonderful place. At 35:00 min, the word: Gegenwart=present, and on the medallion the word "Rosenheim", it's a town in the very south of Bavaria in Germany.
❤ Another great exploration. Thank you. I wonder how they got that big chest freezer, down the stairs and thru the small door of the basement room it was in, as well as all the other appliances. All that stuff down there was lots of trips up and down the steps. And lots of trips to bring it all put if that happens. I hope it is renovated someday.
Hi Bobbie, I understand your feelings. It's really sad to see such beautiful places left uncared for. Sometimes circumstances make it difficult for people to maintain these properties. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Saludos a ambos
Very big place but got a lot of stuff it makes the place look very small, also I only see 3 bed room in this castle , I thought a place like this would have a lot of bedroom , it must be hard for a man lost both of his legs to go up and down though tiny staircase, it’s historical places indeed, thank you for sharing
Diabetics lose limbs from poor circulation. Limbs which get really, really bad from setting on ones butt for too many hours each day can become rot with gaingreen & must be removed. If the family suffers from a history of this outcome then multiple prosthetic legs throughout this home makes sense. However, it could also be, that in an attempt too ease his own personal loss of both his legs, he made several more pairs for each room too fill more comfortable with himself.
I was scrolling the comments to see if anyone had already told them what it was. In America, the company Avon sold alot of those .I about dropped my phone while telling him "Oh, no! Put it down!" 😅😂
@@jennybaby2010 🤣Yes, we have the same instinct.... "please, stay away from this thing" ! The owner may have used it only for medical use.... but perhaps not only that, we don't know, so in doubt...
Hello my dear! Will you please show me the carpets in places you guys are going.im from Iran but living in us love you guys documentary thank you so much 🙏💜
OK guys, the first thing, the fake legs are from before ww1. Early ones were very uncomfortable and made blisters for who ever wore them. So as new tech Was developed the person would get new legs,.also they kept the old ones so they can reuse them when their legs became sore And brused. Do u edit your videos? If so I can help you with descriptions. So u don't seem so out of it. How can we talk?
32: 22 as the elderly grow older they tend to cling too photos of both past & present loved ones. Family is most important & and so the gentlman of the house likely slept in this bed & past away here. He was likely well loved & proud, yet humled by his own experiences & faith in God - per his humble bedding. Thank you for this video, my favourites are the french and belgium architecture, i loved the sundial and the massive fireplace, beautiful home xxx

Sea Captains are only supposed to lose ONE leg.

Rosenheim , a City in Germany, southern part
This is glorious. Thank you for your work.
Omgosh I don't think I have ever seen a roof that is so steep, with such sharp angles... It is stunning wow
It's called a sundial. Modern, but nice.
The legs have to be replaced from time to time because of the fit.
Thanks!
Have you ever been in an abandoned house and the owners show up?
Ticked all the boxes ✅
I just don't understand why humans started building such huge places to live. Way larger than anyone needs and rich people still do that. Such a waste when they mansions are often abandoned and the money could have served a much more worthwhile purpose.

Bilateral above the knee amputee, both legs and yes they have to be replaced frequently

Beautiful, so sad it is going to ruin
The painting of the lady with the strange black hat is called “La belle de Strassbourg” and it is at the Museé Rohan in that city.

a family member may have been a Ambassador to Germany, that is what the long flag hanging states in the German language

really good video

Dank u wel. Leuk!!! What a pity such a pretty castel has been left to nature.💓💗
The disc on the table with the triangular piece is probably a sundial
Love those two black leather chairs by fireplace! 10:33 and that fireplace is grand..sorry, brown chairs! 11:23
Baie dankie. Dit was n interressante video. Dankie vir jul moeite.
What a stunning building ❤❤❤
merci bises de la Martinique babeth
On the picture it was no castle near, it is the "Holstentor" in Lübeck (Schleswig-Holstein, North-Germany).
Wow so beautiful. I would live there

very unique. Hoarded
Belle exploration
Sad that all these places have been ransacked before you guy's get there. So much personality stolen. That letter should be in a museum.
Why,why, why do they let places like this just deteriorate? 😭🤪😭🤪

The bed is not embroidered. That is a velvet brocade .
It is not another castle at the painting in the entrance hall: it seems to be a picture of the Lübecker Holstentor in northern Germany i guess.
It is an early paddle machine for the heat. It restart the heart.
