Completely agree - it's difficult for many tourists who only go to Japan for a couple of weeks. I feel that too many people spend too long in Tokyo when there are so many other amazing places to visit (like Fukuoka!)
@serotonin-R Hey, can you help me with something if you are from Fukuoka? I will be living there soon for a while and looking for gyms and swimming pools. Can you name a few and tell me about their prices? Thanks a lot🙏🏻
Nice clip which I now pass on to friends in Europe who might want to travel. I lived in Nakasu for many years, just love Fukuoka. It is safe, clean and well functioning and food is great. Lots of BS on the Internet about Nakasu being red light district and worrying. Not at all so, it is very safe. One thing which I also liked is that it is flat, not like Nagasaki for example. I bicycled far every day, all year around. Other areas which I liked were Yakuin, Shirogane, north of Ohori Park and out in Ohashi. Now retired and back in Europe, but I do miss my Fukuoka.
Good choice! Fukuoka has sooo much great stuff- we had to leave out loads from the video as there was too much! Lots of Ramen restaurants, fun bars and clubs, temples, museums etc, definitely a good choice
Thank you! Yes we've been really busy the last month or two and struggled to find time to film anything! But we've got a few things already filmed and a couple more soon to be!
Great video! I actually moved to Fukuoka and you already went to places I haven’t been yet! I do love this city already. Your guy’s content inspired me to make better videos on my channel.
Wow thank you for such a nice comment! We love Fukuoka, it might be our 2nd favourite city in Japan (behind sapporo). The vibe is so cosmopolitan and it feels like you're in the Mediterranean with the super warm but breezy weather
Hello ! thank you for your video on Fukuoka ! it is very in depth , and allows me to see how compacted the cities in Japan are and how I could see so many wonderful temples in a convenient way !
Thank you! We've always said that Fukuoka would be one of our top cities to move to as its so cosmopolitan but has the cultural elements right in the middle (temples, shrines, and such)
@@wegoeast Hello ! Thanks for the advice, my wife and I will consider the ideas of cosmopolitan and cultural elements inside a city when we move. Thanks for the advice !
Thank you! We use the Canon M50 (Canon Kiss EOS in Japan), with a Rode Video Micro microphone in all our videos! We mainly use the stock 15-45mm lense, but also have the 22mm lense for low light. Its a brilliant little camera and we can't recommend it more!
This is useful. I have passed through Fukuoka (on the way to Mount Aso and Sakurajima) but I'm keen to go back to check out the city's famous "food scene" (!?), and if I saw Fukuoka Tower I'd probably think about it for a minute and then decide against it. Now I know it's worth the ¥800 and the 30-45 minutes... 🙏
The food scene is amazing! Lots to try, especially at the Yatai! There are loads all over the city (like mini izakayas) and each serves different food. If you Google "fukuoka yatai map" you should choose one that isn't in a heavy concentration of yatai as you'll have a better experience. Fukuoka tower and the nearby beaches are great in summer
Great Video! Which do you prefer Fukuoka or Hiroshima? I loved Hiroshima on my visit last week. ♥️ Will try and do Fukuoka next time. Which City will you blogg next. Osaka? Sapporo?😊
Tough question, both are amazing cities with very different vibes. I think Hiroshima just takes the crown though, due to the fact its so walkable whereas Fukuoka is a bit more spread out. (Also we have friends that live in Hiroshima so we're a bit biased)
We use the Canon M50 (in Japan it's called the Canon Kiss EOS I believe), it's a brilliant little camera. We use the standard kit lens mostly and a rode videomicro for the mic
Thank you for sharing your take on Fukuoka. The last time I came here was last year in August but it was during the biggest Typhoon to hit the Island so all of our planning and film plans were out the window so watching this guide has given me some ideas for the shoot coming up in Autumn. You're amazing!
I think youll be fine 🙂 Fukuoka is a big city, with a reasonable foreign population (relative to japan) and is a big tourist destination. My top tip is to always try your best to at least speak a bit of japanese, and you'll get a friendly reaction. My top tip is to Google "useful japanese phrases", go on images, and to screenshot one then save it as your phone lock screen / background. That way you'll always have it available!
The easiest thing to do is to put your luggage in one of the large luggage lockers in Hakata Station (I think its around ¥700 for the day). Lockers are very common and very safe, and will have signs in english so are easy to find. If you're staying at a hotel but are checking out THAT day, you can leave your luggage at the hotel free of charge!
@@mizzcachon There are lockers in every big train station and even some smaller ones! Its always worth just googling to make sure beforehand if you're looking to use them
I am from Fukuoka. Fukuoka is a wonderful city that is still unknown to many Western tourists.❤

Stop capping, I wouldn't say it's unknown LOL
Another great video. The reclining Buddha looks so amazing
Thank you!!

I’m going to Fukuoka in a few days. Can’t wait
Definitely try eating at the Yatai! And go early (or super late) to get the best experience
Nice video. I think the mystery trees in Tochoji Temple are a subspecies of Japanese maple, some of which have red leaves year round
Thanks for the info!
thanks for sharing, now you gave me an idea on what to expect from fukuoka. planning a trip soon, thanks
Hope you have a great trip! Fukuoka is really fun
Me too
This will be my first destination for my next trip to Japan😁

Great video guys. Love the Yatai
Fukuoka is so beautiful like 🤝💯🔔ok my friend
Thank you for sharing. This is a good length for a video.
It was very detailed, loved seeing all these places, it felt like I saw the whole city!
There is so much to do in Fukuoka, the video could easily have been 25 minutes but there simply isnt enough time in one day to see more!
Nice video! Thanks! Which camera did you use????? please

You didn't go to see the Gundam or Gundam Base?!
Didn't manage to fit it in unfortunately, but would have done if this was a 2 day video! One to add to the list for next time!
@@wegoeast Thank you for uploading this video. It is a great template to planning a day trip to Fukuoka!
Would I have a lot of trouble traveling to Fukouka without Japanese? I know some phrases but I know practically zero Japanese.
