I saw this on Amazon about 2 weeks ago and immediately ordered it (the 45 box one). I absolutely LOVE this system, and use it exclusively. I keep the boxes in the big "gift box" and have no trouble using it. I've ordered two of the 15-box ones so I'll have 75 in total for those really big paintings. I've used it for 4 different diamond paintings now (3 round and 1 square) and have absolutely no issues with the drills/diamonds shaking perfectly into alignment. I will say that if you have a TON of one color (like 310's), you might not want to put ALL of them in the box at once so you have room to line them up for multiplacing. I have had no problem with drills getting "stuck" along the back hinge - they do get up there, but when you shake it to align them, they come right out of there. The ONLY thing I don't like is that they are clear on the bottom and this can make it hard if you are working on a big canvas and put your tray down on your canvas to work out of. To resolve this, I cut paper into the appropriate size and used double-sided tape to tape them onto the outside bottom - I used black paper for some of them (for when I have white or very light colored drills). I will be ordering more of these, and will probably usee them in conjunction with those "multi tray holders" you can get that hold BIG trays (I haven't tested this yet, but I'm hoping they will fit in those). Thank you for showing these, I hope more people "discover" them because they really have been a game-changer for me. **NOTE: I just tried a couple days ago to get another 45-box one and it is SOLD OUT and they are limiting the 15-box option to ONE PER CUSTOMER. LOL I guess the word is getting out!!**
@@amydavis4945 yes I had to pin a comment about them being gone 😥. But I am excited to use it. I did see the 15 tray system as well. Great idea with the paper on the bottom!
I have used all different kinds of storage, but most recently, the Trabricks. I love them for not having to switch out the drills. Regarding the one you got from Amazon, I looked at those as well. I like that they come in the box. Have you tried using it standing up so as to see the label easier? How do you think these will hold up as compared to the Trabricks? I really thought about trying them, but when I looked at them, there weren't many reviews.
@@shawna-3 hi Shawna! I have not had the chance to use them yet but I’m excited to. Someone else also suggested having it upright. 😊. I think they are a good addition to my storage systems. The traybricks seem to be made of a thicker plastic. However these are quite nice. I tried my best in the video to describe it. 😂 I just learned that they are back in stock from a subscriber. I do know that these are cheaper than traybricks but again the plastic is thinner. I hope that helps. 💕
It’s an interesting storage solution and it’s good to have options. So far my favorite is still my Elizabeth Ward storage. I need to get a few of the 1/2 tray non-EW containers from TEMU.
TFS❤❤❤❤ I don’t think I could use that storage or trays at all, I’m too cheap. It is a very expensive option. You could get 2 EW containers for just a couple of bucks more. Have a great weekend❤❤❤
Ooooh! That looks interesting! OMG, there you were gone to get the measuring tape! I have missed that in your latest videos, so thank you for that blast❣️ I’m thinking you put that pink box of trays on your light board stand that I have noticed you don’t use with your light board. That way you will be able to see every tray and, more importantly, the colour sticker. I would use those holographic stickers on your AB storage, as that’s what they resemble to me. Those little handles are a game changer! Please don’t think that this is a dis - it is not! - but those new trays remind me of my Auntie’s old soapbox that she kept in her travelling cosmetics train case. Those Trabricks are definitely not nail friendly. I end up cutting about 20% of my canvases open because I have a deuce of a time finding the ends. Couldn’t they put a coloured line across the tab? Is that really too much to ask for? (((((Hugz))))) my friend❣️❣️❣️
@ If you don’t have a stand for your light board anymore, I have a few extras as hubby figured I needed one in every size from A2-A5 inclusive! I would happily send you one. ☺️
@@Diamondpaintingwithcoco Not even for holding your drills up at an angle? See, that right there is the difference between our heights. I am pretty compact at 5’2” and soooooooo short-waisted that I can’t see much if I don’t stand them up. That’s why I started using the stand with my lightboard as well. I used to compensate for it by tucking a leg underneath me, but that won’t work anymore. Sometimes I had so much trouble seeing, I would tuck both of my legs underneath me and rise up on my knees. I did a LOT of jigsaw puzzles that way. Having the stand under my lightboard is a game changer for me as Zippy (my name for my wheelchair) doesn’t work so well with tucked legs….. and to be truthful, I don’t know if I’m far enough along with my physio to even do it anymore. LOL But I’m darned amusing to watch me try! LMAO
The traybricks will be easier to open when you use it a bit. It’s hard to open the lid just when it’s new. Just like the EW. Love the comparison. Traybricks may be more shallow but it has a longer base which helps with multiplacer tips. But I must admit this box of storage is tempting.
Kaylee what a bummer! 😢. Yeah I see that they don’t have it now. I wonder if they’ll get it back in? I’m sorry. They must’ve sold out or stopped carrying it. I’ll see if I can contact them. 💕. Thank you for letting me know.
So for me, this type of system seems like a waste of time. The tray feature of it is useless if you over fill it, its only useful for a small amount of drills and you are using it on confetti heavy kits. Then for any color that's over one bag full, you are constantly having to refill it from another storage container or bag depending on how the drills were sent. No matter how you slice it, you are not going to be able to do a full kit up in this system without ultimately creating more work for yourself in the end. Now if you mix and match and only use these for the smaller drill counts and then use like Elizabeth Wards for the higher drill counts then yes this type of tray system might be useful and save a little time swapping trays in the high confetti areas. Additionally, as you said, yes you might be able to us them for spare drill storage but you would have to spend way to much to get to that 450 ish DMC mark. it would certainly hold more drills than the baggie system most people use. Maybe someone a bit more creative and flexible than me would find these a dream come true.
@@melissabrooks4932 thanks for your input Melissa. 😊. Thought this would be a great comparison to the traybricks everyone is getting these days. This system is much less expensive. Thanks for watching. 💕
