    1. Watch your teammates 0:56
    2. Have a routine 3:02
    3. Reset after every pitch 6:14
    4. Make pitchers throw strikes 8:37
    5. Focus on what you want to happen 10:23

I would add to #4 get a good pitch to hit. Ted Williams said that was the best advice he ever got on hitting, and it was from Rogers Hornsby, the last RH to hit over .400.

Just watched this after finishing a documentary called “The Secret.” It’s available on Netflix and I highly recommend it to athletes who struggle with their self-confidence and it explains the law of attraction and how what you focus on becomes your reality. Great video Coach Justin!!

Great videos dude. Your videos have really helped me understand the game better, both physically and mentally. Thanks.

Those are all excellent points in the video, especially the mental part about not being a "hope" hitter and using positive self-talk about what a hitter wants to accomplish. If a hitter goes to the plate with doubt in his mind, he is already beat. Hitting is hard enough, but when he doubts he can hit a pitcher or if he is scared of failing, it becomes that much harder. It is a one on one competition between the pitcher and hitter. Who is going to win? Who wants to compete and win the most?
Having a routine from the time a person wakes up for a game or practice, or even the night before, and continuing through to the at-bat is very important and often neglected by coaches. Many games are won or lost before a team ever gets to the field.

Hey coach Justin can you make a video on how to shake the feeling of feeling the need to swing at the next pitch because you just let the previous perfect pitch go by. Very specific but it seems to be something I do a lot

I love these videos and have my 9 year old watch them too. But sometimes, you get a little long winded in talking. seems you repeat yourself a few times in the same point but just in different words. other than that, we watch these all the time.
