From the US, Thank you for showing us how beautiful this country is. I have honestly never heard one positive thing about the Taliban until I saw your channel. Not saying theyre good, but it seems they are providing some stability to the region which can only be good for its people.
If they are providing stability and safety for their country I would say their good by default. Remember if your from the west we have views that are misconstrued by our western media and many times its not the truth but rather the opposite of truth.
Ahhh the Kunar Valley, I never thought I’d miss this place. I spent a year there back in 2012 and it’s a beautiful country with good people except for the Taliban. I hope the afghan people have peace even if it’s with those Littleboy lovers.
Dear Emma. They are trying to protect you because they think you are a woman and needs to provide you security. If anything happens to you then the entire tribe would be ashamed. Usually they take the gusts to their houses but they don’t force anyone. They are being honourable. So be happy because they will make sure you are protected while you are there in their village.
But they say Pakistan is 100000 times more safer than Afghanistan when it comes to Women rights, freedom and Women safety... I can see why. Clearly no Afghan girls or women visible. Sadly.
It is a bit hard to see that the interpreter doesn't translate everything; They say the village is safe but they offer you people to guards just for you to feel safe and not to be worried, free of charge, as you are staying in their village , just as an attitude of generosity and hospitality. The person says I live over and I will come to check on you anyway .
What a picturesque place you chose for camping. The curiosity and excitement level of local villagers was beyond words. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video of your stay in kunar, Afghanistan!
Hello Emma greeting from Amsterdam Netherlands I got tears in my eyes becouse I left my Courtney Afghanistan Kunnar 15 years ago and I wachtend you’re video I belong to the same village and I am very thankful to you and your team as long you stay in the village you’re security and safety is the responsibility of the local people so don’t need to be scared you are in safe hands the local have not to much to offer but their love and respect you can see in their eyes
My heart breaks seeing the Afghan people suffered too much for so long because of foreign invaders that left millions of Afghan children hopeless, yet these people are called terrorists in their own country but the foreign countries invaders who destroy this beautiful country are praised for invading Afghanistan. Thank you for your videos!
Hey Emma , you are doing great job showing love and kindness for afghan people. Afghanistan is indeed beautiful country and very kind and loving people.
Emma that was a great vlog. Really eye opening. The people were so kind and welcoming. It was nice of the Governor to make sure you were looked after. The boy in white was such a sweet soul. I hope he is taken care of and has a good future. It would be nice to be able to donate to their village to help them with the things they need like medicine, school supplies, etc.
Great blog, Emma! The scenery is beautiful and you captured very genuine expressions of the local who are dirt poor, but very excited to see a foreign tourist in their small village. Your inner compassion and respect for humanity came across throughout this blog, especially when you took the time to be kind to the little boy with special needs. Enjoy the rest of your trip and be safe! ❤❤
Emma you are a very special woman we need more like you! Watching your videos makes me happy to see the joy you bring to the poorest of the poor in this world! Peoples like you are rare here in the USA!
I don't think they're poorest in the world. It's just the modern society/world perceive them of how they survive without modern technology and stuff like that we use nowadays. But the way i see them, they're like the ancient survivors, farmers, carpenter and etc all that kind of workers you heard from historian. Pretty amazing i'd say
People often count the amount of dollars thinking the more the better but price, scarcity availability and whether its essential or a luxury just shows you can be somewhere like Venezuela where many are surviving on 5 us dollars a week yet they have food yet you can be in europe living on the street begging and barely able to eat. Those lliving in tents out of work are a good example. However for sure there are starving babies with starving mums in refugee camps, the husband is dead from the war. It may be minus 20 c at night. No shelter from snow and no fire or blankets with kids suffering extreme. Hunger skin and bone.
This is a pure quality content! It's so heartbreaking to see the village people have genuine kindness to tourists who visit their area. The view is like little heaven on Earth. And the Pashtun kids are beautiful, a lot of them also have blue eyes, light skin, and blond hair. The adorable boy with disability will want you back and remember you in his whole life. Emma, you have such a loving heart for Afghani people and they love you so easily too like sugar candy attracts a bunch of ants, so adorable. You have brought joy to them. On the contrary, I've also watched two Brit guys visiting Afghanistan as well with 5,6 mil viewers but at the end of their video they threw a question to one another, "Will you be back to Afghanistan?" Whether they were joking or serious, their answers were, " Absolutely.... NOT!" I think that is disrespectful to say such thing like that to a country that is still struggling to stand up on their own. I guess consistant Taliban checks on tourists had stressed them out so much and with the unstable condition there economically and socially. Emma you have shown compassion to Afghani people who need attention and support from other people from different countries. Eventhough you are just a tourist there, what made you special is that you have a motherly side in you that the people could sense especially the little kids. May God bless and protect you Emma... 💝
They have such beautiful faces. I’ve been amazed by seeing travel vlogs, it wasn’t my view till now. I have a child with special needs, she’s have a lot more disabilities than that lil guy but that smile is always the same. I really wish I could visit someone day.
Pashtoons afghans on both sides of durand line boarder between Pakistan and Afghanistan are so so simple people...ur a guest and they are poor people but will protect u and give u every comfort wat ever they have in there homes even though they the the poorest ....so just appreciate there gesture of giving or hospitality
