    Toyota for brand 20k more. X70 price more competitive for 1.8l engine and turbo, also bigger cabin space. Brand is just a logo and name. If proton price is not far off from Toyota. For driver benefit, it's definitely proton. If brand matters so much, then Toyota. Anyway Toyota chassis in terms of their lower range models ain't impressive. That 300kg difference meaning that the proton has a heavier chassis = stronger chassis. All manufacturers will cut cost and weight by reducing weight in engine hood, bonnet, rear truck, floor bed, panels etc. So touching them to feel for yourself which vehicle is a stronger built matters. Have seen many vehicles rollover and got to say among all Japanese brand. Subaru standout in terms of their chassis reliability. Honda next. For Malaysia production, I personally feel proton has a higher standard/respect in terms of safety compare to the other Malaysia brand. Just look at how many old proton has survived in Malaysia. May not be a great car but if after 30years u still see them around. Means their reliability has withstood time.

      The more expensive brands do lighten the vehicle by using aluminium and more plastic. But aluminium bonnets, roofs and doors cost money.

    • @kwantanianman1435
      @kwantanianman1435 4 года назад

      yes... the master knows better... 4 example like lambo and ferrari... more aluminium and carbon fiber materials to lighten the cars that have large powerfull engine to give power to weight ratio and superb handling...

      Brand means alot. X70 is a rebadge geely, china made car. If the quality of china made cars are comparable to the trusted toyota, then toyota will die off.
      The reliability of toyota (and even honda) will be shown after years of usage.

      Is it like u hesitate between to buy Honda City or Honda Civic. Buy x70 over Aruz actually u buy a class bigger.

    • @yskhong6700
      @yskhong6700 5 лет назад

      As I said in the video, the X70 is a totally different vehicle, and it should not be compared to the Rush or Aruz. I understand why people tend to put them together, but it is because the lower variant of the X70 is so close in price. Anyway, the engine pwoer of the X70 is 184 horses versus 106, so that should say something.

Though i worry that the Q7 may have issues...what can you advice me? What other SUVs can you recommend?

      The Aruz had the same HP as Alza and it's heavier than the Alza.More to the question can Aruz climb the mountain roads like genting smoothly,Even the Alza when I drove up the slope I have to floor it a bit harder.
      At least give us a turbocharger or if u lazy enough just use supercharger that only need to mount on top of engine for the aruz cause theres a lot of space in the engine bay,u still get that subsidies fuel for 1.5L engine.

      The Avanza and Rush have the same engine, but RUSH has bigger wheels and has a SUV type body, is a bit heavier, therefore costs a bit more. Same engine, same gearbox, but final drive may be different. Avanza fuel consumption my be slightly better.
