155 hours under my belt currently I'm closing in on the end phases of the game. So far I've explored every collectible thing in the game because that's how I am, every nook and cranny has to be explored. A bit afraid to get those a bit more gimmicky things done, like getting thrown 30 meters or ramming the enemy boats in timely fashion, all that stuff. As for the hours played, it really isn't a game at all if it doesn't take 100+ hours to complete, so I'm not at all disappointed by the map size. Sure it could have had more of those small fun quests around the more secluded and empty parts of the map, but overall I've enjoyed it. 155+ whatever hours I will sink into platinuming this bugger I'm pretty sure I'm not touching the DLC's. Enough AC is enough AC, but mostly due to overly easy battle mechanics towards the endgame is making everyone a pushover and not a challenge to be bothered with. And that's with scalable +60 level enemies on Drengr difficulty. That's the part I'm most disappointed with. No need for stealth or environmental takedowns because everything is easy as is, though I still try to utilize them whenever possible.
I’ve have gotten the platinum for Origins and Odyssey I’m working on the one for Valhalla now… and this one is wayyyy longer than the other two… it’s a grind but I do enjoy it more than the older styles… 🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
got plat for this recently, pretty grindy towards the end but once the maps were completely cleared, (including Asgard and Jotunheim), I could see the light. :)
Your method really works I am sweeping the pledged region after finishing the story on that area (except for a handful but mostly wealth +artifacts done) I am on 40 hours and just finished ledesterscire, granterscerscire (is that correct) and east anglia. It does not feel grindy using your method.
its free for extra and premium members next week on PS. don't know if i have time for this game even tho i want to play it, one of those +200 hrs game for me
“It’s either a blessing or a burden” Anyone who plays Ubisoft games would never say their side quests and side hustle is a blessing. It’s all just plastic content with no fun at all. At this point Ubisoft just gives up while making their games fun because fun died when Assassin’s creed origins came out.

The only thing I was wondering is about some kind of barrel thing you have to do in jotunheim that is a one time chance. Do you know anything about that?
As far as I know they fixed the missable collectibles in jotunheim kinda early on, but all you've gotta do if you're worried is when you go into a place for a mission just make sure to save beforehand and collect everything inside while in the missions
I cant get thrown and pop that trophy, it says to get thrown certain distance by a housecarl or a destroyer but grounded they dont throw you far enough and thier isnt one high enough. I was told to go to a ruin and you have a Goliath he can throw you off and it pops ? How is this possible because he is not a housecarl nor a destroyer and everytime i been thrown off its not popped.
You've put a wrong trophy for the grinding part. By far, the most grinding trophy is the one that asks you to complete all the regions. That includes some mysteries, involving fishes, and some tattoos, involving flying papers. If those two aren't grinding enough, then I don't know what is in this game! 🙄

The story was OK it was way to long and the tension from the story was lost because you to do 7 filler arcs with a character you don't care about or want be around it away the investment you have for the main characters I really liked King Alfred. But that's all the praise I'll give the game it was my 41st platinum. The only assassin's creed about game is the title.
I disagree with your assessment that AC open world is too big and a waste of time or unnecessary. Valhalla was only a portion of England for the main game, IF you just want a 20-hour game then just play the main arc and no DLC or side stuff. It's your post so your opinion, but for the other half+ of us like the content and value for your money and do like "existing" in these open world games, that is why so many are being made now days. Personally, I do not think the franchise can go back to the "by a wire" content, it is more nostalgic than a good modern game model and would most likely lose the fans that they have gained, me being one.
You are absolutely correct with the repetitive thing which you gotta do for alliances …… every area you gotta fight a war and all the same thing and have to do it for like 10+ times but keeping that aside it is a good game

This game is awesome, I just wish it wasn’t an Assassin creed one, but an independent game about norse mythology.
The balancing stones on each other was the most annoying thing about this game, oh and the amount of glitches

Find an outpost/camp near à cliff edge and lure a goliath and he will throw you off. Got it when the big guy threw me off a cliff. Good luck
