We do laminate optimisation by changing the layups, not by varying the ply thickness as ply thickness is same. I don't think simcenter has that capability of varying different layups or optimising the str for a given set of layups
hi, is it possible to have a cad file (step export) and do some general static FEA on the structures (snow load, lifting weight). Or atthe modelling stage I have to model it with surfaces or convert the solif into plies? Or just simply set the solid geometry a composite material and tell the FEA software to calculate stresses and FOS. Thanks in advance.
