Here's the phoenix poem I wrote last year Devoured Once More Reborn from smoldering ashes a phoenix will rise. Promethean flames purify a phoenix never dies A burning hurricane made flesh a new phoenix flies Dauntless and unstoppable a phoenix rules the skies I mentoined reading A Phoenix First Must Burn, that the title came from an Octavia E Butler quote, this month I read Parable of the Sower which is the book it's from! Medusa isnt in Circe, if she's mentioned at all it's very brief. Stone Blind by Natlie Haynes is the retelling I'd reach for (i haven't read it). Pandora's Jar by Natalie Haynes is 5☆ nonfiction about the women of greek myth and Medussa's chapter is great. I just bought Divine Might by Natalie Haynes and it's about greek goddesses.
🤩🤩🤩🤩 fire poem 🔥 the line a phoenix first must burn out of context feels both sad but empowering at the same time. I love it. Pandora’s Jar is available on KU! I’ve taken it out since you’ve recommended it 😊
@@BeingDaphne Even in context you don't get much more, it's a quote from a fictional book inside the book The full quote is "in order to rise from its own ashes, a phoenix first must burn" One of the other good ones is "All that you touch, You Change. All that you Change, Changes you. The only lasting truth Is Change."
@@zachreads wow. I really have to prioritize this book more. Change used to scare me so much. It still does sometime but I’ve gotten way better at taking it in stride
Thanks for the tag girly! I loved your answer for the spirit animal. I love the phoenix as well. Can't wait to do this one soon. It tis added to me list😄
You and my brother share a birthday. Technically speaking you're already in your 30th year, you'll just be celebrating reaching the end of 30 (people hate when i tell them that lol) You give me classy, laying on a fluffy pillow, Persian cat vibe.
Birthday twins! that's fun. I recently found out that me and this woman i've known casual for a few years have the same birthday too. We were shocked it took us so long to discover this lol OMG i love the persian cat comparison 😹
