So many printing issues ahhhhh. Poor Elisa, I feel your pain! What a trooper, though. I can’t believe you purchased another printer half-way through the project!! At least from now on you can double your printing speed with future projects. He’s such an incredible custom! I hadn’t heard of that fancylace-making technique you mentioned. didnt really expect my two favorite doll customizers to suddenly get inspired by soulsborne games for their halloween dolls but i think its a good sign that creators are branching out and doing whatever they feel like, which is something i really like about this hobby community. you all genuinely enjoy the creative process and it shows
I've never played through Dark Souls (I'm too lazy) so I had no idea what the real Aldrich looked like. Seeing that screenshot of the worm-y creature evoked a visceral horror reaction that contrasted nicely with the fact that your final result is ASTONISHING. Absolutely incredible work.
fun fact about Aldrich: he himself is actually just the weird evil slug body! when you encounter him in-game, he's halfway through eating Gwindolyn (hence the title "Devourer of Gods") and partially re-animates his meal to help fight you. the part of him that looks like a pretty masked man is actually just Gwindolyn's half-devoured corpse being controlled by an eldritch monstrosity. yikes!

@@virginiasantiagofox6461 The " "F" to pay respects "--often abbreviated to just "f" meme comes from the Call of Duty game series that at one point got so gratuitous with 'interactive' cutscenes that didn't need player input in the slightest and just ground the game's immersion, emotional weight, plot and pacing to a halt until you pressed the button. This particular prompt came from a soldier's funeral scene which was considered particularly egregious.

Dark Sun Gwendolyn is my favorite character, it was sad when Aldrich killed him. At least they gave him retribution having the player dispatch him in the end. This build is amazing. Thank you for that.

Nah, that's a cape. A shawl is more scarf-like and less structured.
The doll as a whole is a knock-out, I like the staff, helmet, and Cape.
I'm not familiar with Dark Souls outside of "fandom osmosis" but Alderich's concept is pretty disturbing. Between title, his "true form" and me questioning if he is "wearing" the torso of a previous victim.
About the contest, do we have to design with specific doll brands in mind?

Yeah we walk in on him mid munch, if you pay attention during the bossfight within the game you can hear Gwyndolin making sounds, still alive as he's being eaten, it's some pretty gruesome stuff
for me the saddest part was meeting Yorshka, who very clearly has no idea what happened to her brother. Ouch :(
OH MY GOSH! This doll is fantastically beautifully horrifying. Aldrich is an awesome character and this doll is so amazing! So so so good! I am blown away with the quality and the detail, just incredible, you go girl!

@@snailsofneon fun fact: the helmet was the quickest piece to 3d model. the body took me almost the entire month and a half, the scythe blade took 2 days and the helmet I made in an afternoon

This doll is beautiful! So many details and pieces. I love From Software games, my favorites are Dark Souls and Bloodborne. I can only imagine other characters, like Queelag, Artorias or maybe The Hunter, in your style. I hope that you will consider the suggestion for one of your future projects 😊 Wonderful job.

I’ve seen many people paint dolls and such but seeing you literally make this entire doll and have it be so bendable with all the wrist joints and a tail... plus the outfit and everything your talent is just incredible.

Wow, Elisa, what an incredible journey this doll was! It’s clear how much work and effort (and expense!) went into creating it, but it was clearly worth it! The details are amazing! The body is a work of art, especially with the shading you gave it, but I think my favorite elements are the cape with all the delicate little embellishments, and the staff with the purple LED. Looking back, I feel like this video was a turning point for the channel. First (I think?) collab with BluePixie, first almost entirely 3D printed doll, and biggest doll you had made yet. It’s still an amazing project! It’s so cool to look back and see where you’ve been.

I’m so happy you call his garb a dress since it’s actually a dress and not a robe like a lot of people think, he was born at night and the royal family in dark souls associated the night with female and the day with Male, gwyndalin was basically forced to grow up as a female but he’s a fierce queen

I don’t know how you did it, but the very delicate techniques you use gives this very creepy and disturbing character an added elegance that just elevates the whole design! This is incredibly done!
This is by far the most detailed and exquisite ooak doll in the entire RUclips repaint community. You're exceptionally gifted and the money spent was definitely worth it. Not only did you add to your studio tools but it helped you breathe new life to your work. I love it.
This is insane. As a guy that comes from Tabletop i can only give mad props to Moonlight Jewel for this conversion(?). Tip for working with resin. If you want it not as coarse you can gently wash it with dishwashing liquid.
Your craft has only gotten better exponentially. This was incredible!
I have one critique... I would've liked to see a head sculpt that had less rounded cheeks, and was a tiny bit closer to the scale of the human torso. I only say this because in the game, the characters all had really thin models, so the round face almost looks a bit too... healthy? Lol
Everything else is SUPER amazing. I love all the details in the clothes, and using the vine texture on the skirt and tail was an amazing idea! It's really strange, but that texture brought me back to a specific boss in Bloodbourne (Dark Souls' sister game, basically, if you haven't encountered it), and I thought that was really cool.
The extra joint in the wrist is also neat, it adds length to make it uncanny, but it also makes me remember the torso is probably damaged due to being eaten!
All the thought put into this is awesome. It's no surprise you went a little nuts when you had all these pieces to work on, but you nailed it!!!
I really can't decide what part of this sculpt is my favorite. The clothing? The paint? The tail??? The glow in the dark scythe????? It's amazing!!!!!
