That's how I rode mine the first night I owned it...lol. I topped it out on the highway at night at about 145mph for about 2 minutes. Smooth as glass, and it loves that rev range. Had a lot of chain slack after my 130 mile nighttime ride to show my brother...lol. Thinking about getting an '03 again (currently a nice blue one with only 4,700 miles on it). Tons of fun. Nice and narrow. Great suspension and brakes.
The problem with this kind of riding is that cars have no idea if you’re coming up behind them at the speed you’re going. They literally can’t see you and it’s just a matter of time before one1changes lanes right in front of you. Stay lucky.

That is a sweet ride. Glad I picked up an Fz1 myself. My commute's about to get a whole lot more exciting.
Curious I’m looking to purchasing one for commuting. How have you found yours to be on your commutes?

I have a 2002 fz1 with 25,000 miles and it’s my first sport bike. The bike runs great and fast for a 20 year old bike
With a few mods they are a great machine, I have a few videos about those mods
So many idiots treating the left lane as if it were their personal travel lane and plenty more brake happy fools for no reason.
I need to get one now 🥹😎
