Totally disagree this time and im usually 100% on your side. Everytime i play this map its a mad rush to get to A whether im attacking or defending. The bomb is ALWAYS planted at A because the attackers always got their first. This update should now force people to attack both objectives instead of A every single round.

Search is supposed to favor defense. The whole point of SND is to break the defensive teams setup. This map before the update would have the offense getting the bomb down no matter what. All you had to do was throw stuns and grenades at the arches and then there was no way you weren't getting the plant off.
azhir cave, petrograd (not really anymore), hackney, gun runner, and rammaza (too many angles to be seen from but decent) are the playable 3 lane maps. i usually dont lose on these but i also usually only play with a team. attacking on azhir is very easy with a 3-4 man team

Ryxw If you had a team worth a damn you could drop bomb on A fast. Sight lines are better on attacking side also for A bomb. Every game I played on the map it was whoever spawned offense would win every single round by pushing A.
I agree to an extent but to move them back as far as they are now is a bit much you went from an offensive bias to a fairly big defensive bias now. Its not balanced at all and I would say its almost worse than it was before but your statement on offense having a massive advantage before this update on A is not disputable they definitely had a fairly decent advantage. But I feel the devs took things a bit too far on placement of Offenses spawns in this last update.

Jimmy Brown123 disagree they already have separate maps for certain modes so they can make the best possible map geared towards a certain game mode and only have it in rotation
in this case it would be the absolute wrong move. marksmans run and gun playstyle of "both teams should get to the sites at the same time" is not a viable balance decision for this game mode. the defenders SHOULD get there first. to both sites. because they have to split up to cover two sites and therefore are at a numerical disadvantage at both, ergo need to be already set up where they want to so they have a fighting chance. if BOTH the sites were perfectly balanced in terms of how long it takes both teams to get there, offense could just zerg rush one of them and always beat the defenders because its 6/3 unless the defense perfectly predicts their movement. if defense control one easily, and the other the offense can control easily, then the second site might as well not exist because no one is going to attack or defend it. the mode may as well just have a single bomb site. the only way it works is if both bomb sites are viable, and the only way they both are is if defense starts with control of both, and offense has to move tactically and play mindgames to outplay defense. after all its best of 7, BOTH teams are going to get to be on defense almost evenly. if the offense can beat the defense even ONE time without getting beaten themselves when they are on defense they win.
you dont understand how numbers work. its not six attackers vs six defenders at BOTH sites. its six attackers vs 3 defenders at the sites. and the other three have to rotate. and most dont rotate until after the bomb is planted anyway. OR its six attackers vs 0 defenders at b because literally no one guards b even though its right at their spawn.
foxboy64 This doesn’t really make sense, because the entire point is to predict where the people go and make the decision to where they then should go. Defense always is gonna be closer to the bombsite, but in this map, the spawns are made even further out for offense, making it near impossible to get there against an equally skilled team. Search is always a game about prediction, even more than every other game mode. There isn’t a numerical advantage for either team on a normal map with normal spawns, because it’s always 6v6, unless someone doesn’t spawn in.
A map where defense always gets there first on both sites is a good map. SnD is basically like counter strikes gameplay, and Counter Strike is like that. Counter Terrorists always get to bombsite whatever first, and the T sides has to take it over. For this kind of gamemode that's how it should be.

I kinda like how all the maps are made to be completely equal, I think they are making maps complete random to force players to figure out how to play different and not make a bard rush routes or camp routes they want to make players have to play different I think that’s the developers goal
could you counter push up mid and rotate around the back of them on offense? If you put the monolithic suppressor it's a long barrel and suppressor, so it might work.
I'm pretty sure it's because of how easy it was to spawn snipe from that area, but i do agree it is a stupid change. The fact that it's even harder to push A is stupid, and B isn't even a question because you are at the car on offense side before they're in mid building.
Arklov is a nice map, defense should get control the bomb sites first before attack, it's the attackers job to clear the defenders off the site and plant the bomb. petrograd could be a good map if they moved defense spawns up and didn't give attackers so much map control at the start of each round.
not a bad idea, me and my friends called this map Rush Plant A because it was soo easy to rush A & plant and there was so many hiding spots to sit & defend bomb. i think this was a good play on the dev’s part
SpectateMi on a defensive you’re able to get to tunnel or get in the house before they do, even hide behind the pillars near the tunnels. That’s fair. Too bad too many bad players don’t know how to utilise superior positions so now the map is unbalanced
Lol glad I watched this after I got off from an awful SnD on this map. Honestly timing was so weird and I just kept dying cause of it. At least now I know lol, I loved this map on SnD.
Honestly I think SnD is a healthy enough game mode in CoD that they should just make it it’s own headline mode. And give it its own maps. They constantly have to balance maps for SnD and the other modes at the same time. And tbh for some maps it’s all most impossible because the styles of play are completely different. I honest think SnD is similar in slow pace with some fast pace with Gunfight than with TDM, Dom, etc. SnD is a popular enough mode we should get our own unique maps like gunfight. Not like gunfight in terms of size but in terms of being exclusive to SnD. You can make some 3 lane and simple and you can make other complex to make them a little harder and less predictable which I think unpredictablility in SnD is good, every round and game can be different. And the spawns and sights will be balanced they dont have to just throw sits in an open space and be like yeah that’s good when it’s not.
As a CS GO player can't really see the problem here. I always tought defenders should have advantage cos you usually have to split your players to defend each side but as a attacking side you can move together to one bomb site and usually out power the few guys defending it. If this not how it works in COD pls correct me.

I usually agree with you Marksman, but here I completely disagree. I hated this map, as well as hackney yard, because of its dominance to one objective. if attackers can get to one objective before defense can get there, that’s totally unbalanced. there’s virtually zero difference in play on those maps because the attackers just rush that one objective EVERY TIME. making it harder to get to “A bomb” on this map gives some variance to matches. now “B bomb” is a factor, so games can play out differently.
I don't agree with the fact that you have to spawn far away from a bombsite as a defender to make it balanced. You just need to make logical approachs and give attackers enough routes and options to make plays. CS manages to do this on bombsites where CT literally spawn (Overpass A site comes to mind). Relying on spawns to balance your map is fucking stupid.

Totally disagree. Every round i tell my team to rush A and Offense gets the plant off in the first 20 seconds 90% of the time. It’s extremely hard to defend if they have 1 player with a stun. Go back and look at you and wildcats games on this map. y’all were able to easily plant on A every round. Now yes elite players that can win 1v1s 80% of the time can stop the plant on A quite often. But i got news Marksman. The game isn’t made just for no lifers that play video games all day. (p.s. name a COD where offense could get to a bomb site way before defense? Defense is supposed to have control!!!! you’ve been playing Fortnite too long bro)
I agree, he contradicted himself. He said "one bomb site should be contestable." I would say that now that they moved the spawn back it actually is fairly contestable. Before spawn change, 'A' was an easy quick plant as well as control of the room.
But by the same token, watch them play on defence, more often then not, they took control of A, in my opinion, they've made it a little too defence heavy, B never got planted at because defence spawns right on top of it, which is unfortunate considering B plants are usually much more interesting. When Wildcat and Marksman played this map, pre-spawn patch, they took control of A on defence and offence. They did lose a few times on both sides, so the argument that you are making sounds illogical at that point, also, when on defence, I rarely saw Marksman or Wildcat ever get hit by those tunnel stuns. Yes defence should have control to some point, but offence does need the chance to be able to contest the bomb site, and with the spawn changes, it's made it much harder for offence to do that.
We got all these maps but only 4 or 5 are in rotation. I know the gameplay is fine for me but the prelobby menu is real laggy. Even when your not trying to join a match its laggy and game freezes. And im on ps4.
St Petrograd was always a terrible map. I have never had a match on this map where everyone camped and held the windows. I have always and will always believe it is the worst cod map EVER

Disagree, the offense should never be able to get to the bomb before the defense, thats the whole point of the game mode is to defend the bomb, the offense always rushed A before and now its fine, if anything, now they should just move B to the middle by B flag in Dom and both will be even for both sides with a small advantage to defense for both sides
But... The defence has control over the bombs that they have to defend??? how is that a problem at all... Being on the attacking team means you should be attacking both the sites not running into a site, defending it, and then attacking it by planting the bomb. Its fine in my opinion.

I hated this map, as well as hackney yard, because of its dominance to one objective. if attackers can get to one objective before defense can get there, that’s totally unbalanced. there’s virtually zero difference in play on those maps because the attackers just rush that one objective EVERY TIME. making it harder to get to “A bomb” on this map gives some variance to matches. now “B bomb” is a factor, so games can play out differently.
I'd say Euphrates Bridge is very one sided, in non S&D at least...

I don't agree with the fact that you have to spawn far away from a bombsite as a defender to make it balanced. You just need to make logical approachs and give attackers enough routes and options to make plays. CS manages to do this on bombsites where CT literally spawn (Overpass A site comes to mind).
Relying on spawns to balance your map is fucking stupid.

They did the right thing and azhir cave is not a bad map for search. What's wrong with defense having control of the bomb sites they're supposed to be defending?

Totally disagree. Every round i tell my team to rush A and Offense gets the plant off in the first 20 seconds 90% of the time.
It’s extremely hard to defend if they have 1 player with a stun.
Go back and look at you and wildcats games on this map. y’all were able to easily plant on A every round.
Now yes elite players that can win 1v1s 80% of the time can stop the plant on A quite often. But i got news Marksman. The game isn’t made just for no lifers that play video games all day.

I agree, he contradicted himself. He said "one bomb site should be contestable." I would say that now that they moved the spawn back it actually is fairly contestable. Before spawn change, 'A' was an easy quick plant as well as control of the room.
But by the same token, watch them play on defence, more often then not, they took control of A, in my opinion, they've made it a little too defence heavy, B never got planted at because defence spawns right on top of it, which is unfortunate considering B plants are usually much more interesting. When Wildcat and Marksman played this map, pre-spawn patch, they took control of A on defence and offence. They did lose a few times on both sides, so the argument that you are making sounds illogical at that point, also, when on defence, I rarely saw Marksman or Wildcat ever get hit by those tunnel stuns. Yes defence should have control to some point, but offence does need the chance to be able to contest the bomb site, and with the spawn changes, it's made it much harder for offence to do that.
Yeah I agree it was way too easy to plant A. But I think they moved it back slightly too far

We got all these maps but only 4 or 5 are in rotation. I know the gameplay is fine for me but the prelobby menu is real laggy. Even when your not trying to join a match its laggy and game freezes. And im on ps4.

I’m sure all the crap players couldn’t stop the A plants and avoid the spawn nades trying to get into A apartments so they complained, and now we get another defense map yay.
I may or may not be one of the reasons the spawn changed in this map. spawn javelin is just too fun

Disagree, the offense should never be able to get to the bomb before the defense, thats the whole point of the game mode is to defend the bomb, the offense always rushed A before and now its fine, if anything, now they should just move B to the middle by B flag in Dom and both will be even for both sides with a small advantage to defense for both sides

But... The defence has control over the bombs that they have to defend??? how is that a problem at all... Being on the attacking team means you should be attacking both the sites not running into a site, defending it, and then attacking it by planting the bomb. Its fine in my opinion.
