This season was so good. I honestly didn’t know who did it until the last episode. I personally suspected this new guy who becomes the boyfriend of Howard as he also sneezed when he was near Howard’s cat
I didn’t either. I think they did that on purpose to make him look suspicious. I was suspicious of so many people this season. They threw us off so many different times.
@@nataliekay5570 same same same
Get this.
I search about the ending of season 1 on RUclips when I finished season 1 and under it...there was a video with the title "Betty's confession" with the assistant in the thumbnail, I got so sad that I spoiled myself.
But guess what? They played the "he/she must be the killer" so well that I thought the "confession" was her saying her real name and then totally forgot she's the killer😆.
I love this show. I hope it wins every award it was nominated for
Who do you think is the master mind behind all the murders i think its martin short 😂
@@thejoker-yr3nc I still think it’s Alice. 👿
Fun fact: Cinda’s other assistant, “Cindy,” is played by Steve Martin’s wife Anne Stringfield. She and Tina Fey look insanely similar.
Cool
Stringfield
@@blackguyofthesouth2161 dang autocorrect got me. I just fixed it. Thanks!
Very cool fun fact!
Dang! Is that why he hits on her on 30 Rock? 😂
The biggest hint was Poppy's true name. Becky Butler .. the Butler actually did do it.
Ha! I didn't even think of that!
Excellent
🤯
Lol wow that's clever as f I love this show
Nice one!
Bunny's last day was a great episode. so many tenants, so many possible characters / plot twists.
My favorite line from Cinda:
"Girl...Your crime is showing "
🤣🤣🤣
I hope this show gets another season! So clever and fun. 😂
Season 3 is already confirmed!
It's already picked up for season 3 and it includes Paul Rudd
I didn't recognise him at first, he looks younger in MITB than he does in the MCU, can't wait for the new season!
I completely didn't even realize any of these clues from this show, especially #1! I had no idea that the opening credits had clues in them! 🤯🤯 I'm not ready for the finale tonight!
Can we all agree that Selena Gomez is absolutely stunning. My eyes are glued to her every time she is on screen.
Selena better get a Emmy nomination next year. She delivered a brilliant acting performance this season.
Yes she better
I like her but brilliant?
I thought she was average at best. She just says her lines. She doesnt seem that into it. Crazy someone thinks she should get an award to me
@@Johnnyrocks34 Actually although I agree she is no great actor, I think that flat deivery was needed in this case to balance off Martin and Short. Otherwise, it would have degenerated into a 3 Stooges.
@@virgilstarkwell8383 ok. But saying its some great performance that should get awarded is ridiculous. She showed zero emotion. Lookes like she memorized her lines and said them. Def was not great acting
I'm of the mind that the first season had a stronger story and execution, but at least the yodelee version for the theme song at the end was an absolute banger sung by the OMITB cast! I need to find a stream file of it ASAP!!
You are correct, 1st season was stronger. But isn't that always the case?
@@virgilstarkwell8383 Not always. I think most people like Fleabag S2 more than S1.
@@heekamalokilo7194 The taste of "most people" isn't a very good standard! I liked S2, OK but there was nothing that seemed really innovative like the episode in S1 which is viewed from Theo's POV,...S2 seemed a bit more manipulative.
@@virgilstarkwell8383 What is a good standard? I personally also liked S2 more. There are probably people who liked S2 of Only Murders in the Building more than S1. 😅 There are so many TV shows; I just think it's highly unlikely that a second season has never improved upon a first season.
@@heekamalokilo7194 Oh I can think of a lot of series in which S2 was not as good as S1. I LOVED HBO Rome S1 but S2 I disliked a great deal and so did a lot of people. In other cases sometimes cast members leave and that it is a blow which I think was the case with Downton Abbey and one of the problems with HBO Rome 2. . Like I said in the case of OMITB I liked 2 but it just I also realize 1 was more creative and took more chances as in the episode told from Theo's perspective. By 2 often a series stops taking chances and settles into the predictable. One element in my own personal standard is : Do I want to go back and watch it again? Is there enough there there to bring me back at least once and maybe more?
Not sure if it's just me, but the actresses who play Poppy and Bunny, look very similar so I thought there would be a twist where they were related
Now that you've mentioned it there is a resembalance, maybe a future plot twist?!
I can't get over the fact they managed to pull like 5 rugs out from under you in one damn scene lol
Omg the evelyn's leg keychain! LOL creativity on a whole new level
I loved the ending except one thing. How did nobody in that bar, who were all in town investigating the missing Becky Butler, not notice she was standing right there not disguised really at all?
I loved this show so surprisingly much, hope for another season, and I feel like the only thing I missed is the clues in the credits
Season 3 is already been confirmed!
I love the opening! The art style and the music are beautiful! 🤗👍💜
I had to double take and be like is that Paul Rudd?
Stay away from who?
I love how interconnected each season is
Like teasing the plot of season 2 in season one’s pilot that’s such a unique concept
I love this show I knew I would ever since it was announced in that Disney financials stream in January last year
Deserves more attention
Even when I heard the reveal from you guys the episode still had me doubt it
I'm psyched too. The 2 obvious guesses for "who to stay away from" are Lucy & Mabel.
@@12Chris6 probably most likely
Maybe Amy Schumer we don’t know lol
Maybe it’s Jan. Looks like he was poisoned, after all.
@@12Chris6 there's, also, Joy(the Brazzos makeup artist), whose now dating Charles.
In the video, you mention wondering how Poppy/Becky knew about Mabel’s knitting needle. Mabel had mentioned her fantasy in Season 1 of the “Murders” podcast, and was confronted about it in the interrogation scene of S2E1.
A few things that still bother me:
**What was the story of the engagement ring Tim Kono was awaiting in S1?
**Who poisoned Winnie in S1?
**Why were there a copy of Rose Cooper’s painting in the first place? Simply because Bunny was protecting the original, or was there another reason? And why did Bunny have the painting in the first place? Tne explanation given was that she liked erotic art, but that seems a little convenient.
**What’s the story with Charles’ dad? He leaves his kid to go to an “audition,” then we next see him being arrested. Was he really going to see Rose, but encountered her abusive husband instead? Did he find Rose missing, thought something happened to her, and killed the husband?
These were all answered…..
@@JD-jz5gu I don’t think so. Please go ahead.
The engagement ring was just a piece of angel inc jewellery that Tim collected. He had no one to propose to.
I agree. Who poisoned Winnie? Maybe Becky/Poppie and Kreps? I don’t know.
The copy of the painting might have been nothing more than Bunny trying to keep her expensive original save.
I guess Charles‘ dad might have been arrested after an angry husband surprised him and it got physical or something.
So yeah, some things aren’t clear but I can kind of make sense of them. But who poisoned Winnie and who left that message at Jan‘s door?
@@honeym7408 I guess they weren’t directly answered, but asides from what the ones you gave an answer for: I honestly just think it was Jan that poisoned Winnie and she put the note on her door to make herself look innocent. The show didn’t really give me a reason to think differently, so I haven’t so far. If the next season has an answer I guess I’d be proven wrong, but I doubt they’d answer those when only like a year has passed in the show
@@JD-jz5gu I really don’t think so. At the end of season 1 Mable pointed out that some questions have not been answered and in season 2 someone mentioned (sorry I forgot who) that we still don’t know who poisoned Winnie. Lucy points out that Charles should take care because he doesn’t know what kind of crazy stuff happens in the building. And then there’s Howard who is super fun but also super shady. He is a suspect in season 1 and Jan keeps pointing at him even though she is already out of the equation when the Dimases get framed. Then in season 2 he has that black eye. Again in season 1 we find out that the Tim Kono case is not thoroughly taken care of by the police (his phone, his autopsy) and although we know that Kreps is corrupt he had no reason to stop the Tim Kono investigation in season 1. And Jan did surely not write herself a threatening note and reacts all shocked while no one is around.
I believe we get a new murder each season while there’s a bigger reveal in the final season about someone in the building interfering with all the cases.
But of course that’s just my take. Would still be interesting to read your ideas about the open questions.
Predictions for season 3 Becky (Poppy) will become a popular podcaster from prison. Telling the stories of the inmates starting with Jan.(the killer from season 1)
I thought the scene with Cinda and Cindy knitting (along with Poppy/Becky)was CGI! I had to replay that scene several times. Wow they look identical!
10:24 Steve Martin is a comedy genius
Love this show. Can’t wait until the next season. Wish there were more shows.
Wasn’t sure how it would continue, brilliant idea. Now they have to change the name of the show lol
Only Murders on Broadway?:)
I dunno. Maybe Paul Rudd’s character lived in the Arconia.
@@patriciagrandjean8205 That IS possible since it has been a year time jump. Also it is possible Paul Rudd's character didn't die. He seems to have blood in his mouth and he's down but do we know for sure he's dead? Maybe he survives and then somebody, him or somebody else dies in the building.
The Theatre is a building, so the title still works, but we can't leave the Arconia with all its secret passageways and secret elevator/s and who knows what else!
Ooh as someone said, maybe he lived in the Arconia! or maybe he is the man that Charles' ex-wife (Lucy's mother) married. It has to be someone that Charles has beef with because they were both arguing before he went on stage.
Love this show it's great awesome video
This show is just the best!
I only noticed the blackout and the fireworks in the episodic credits, but I didn't realise that it went deeper than that!
Ya and ms gamboling changes into the chicken from Oklahoma. The one bunny walks at the end on the intro
Mable did stab Bunny with the knitting Needle, but that was after the fact she was already stabbed. She came towards Mable in the dark and Mable's reaction as she didn't know who it was that was wandering in her apartment: Grab a knitting needle and stab the person before they can do anything, but she then realized it was Bunny
I can’t wait for Season 3. This show is phenomenal. I’m a big Selena Gomez fan and I believe that this show is the highlight of her career. Same with Steve Martin and Martin Short. The show actually made me gain respect and love for Steve Martin.
This was amazing. And I scored with my suspect of the murder of Bunny.
In the first episode, when our intrepid trio talked about the Oklahoma podcast had slowed down with too much exposition over Becky Butler ("student council president, she had a smile that would light up a room, blah, blah, blah"). But I saw none of that when we meet Becky and the miserable life that she was so desperate to escape. She was pretty much invisible to everyone except the boss that was harassing her. Maybe that's why no one recognized her in the bar.
"Theo's it" 😂 yesss!
Ugh! Another clue leading to Poppy is 9:43. The huge painting! There’s headphones. Poppy is the only one wearing headphones. But who is “knife girl?” At 7:16?? Is that Poppy as well or someone else??
I really love this show. I called Poppy. I am so excited for season 3
Poppy was Under our noses this whole time
and I felt bad for her too
She seemed likable until that reveal
I kinda feel bad for bad 😔
It’s always the likable ones who are putting on a show or wearing a “metaphorical” mask
I also felt sorry for her to a degree but there is no excuse for murdering someone to make yourself successful. Also what about the jerk that Cinda sent to jail for "murdering" Becky. Doesn't SHE have any responsibility for that? Not saying it takes blame away from Becky but she is an aweful person.
@@jacquelinecallejas1390 true
Repress and unrepress at will I’ve never seen anyone be able to do that before
When your mind represses a memory it’s usually instinctual a defense mechanism your body decides for you it’s not something you do willingly
Would come in handy for when you hear spoilers accidentally
I loved ❣♥️
How DID Poppy know about the catacombs?! This is driving me crazy 🤪
I know!!! I’ve been racking my brain about it. I’m hoping it will be addressed in season 3. And PAUL RUDD!!
I think my only issue was that Poppy was smart, talented and willing to take that EXTRA step...why not just move to Oklahoma City, and start her own podcast and create her own brand? I know that I'm over thinking it, but the show itself pretty much says that just about anyone (Mabel, Charles, Oliver!) can create a podcast IDK it just seemed like Poppy didn't need Cinda or Kreps...
I think that's explained in how passive Poppy was towards Cinda. Cinda walks all over her but , Poppy's putting up a partially truthful mask. She wasn't confident in her own skills, she wanted to work with an already established podcaster. She's very weak-minded and wouldn't retaliate openly.
Love the show❤❤
They all have to be connected to someone in the building. We will find out. Can't wait till next show.
I still don't understand how Bunny got in Mable's appartment. When Mable went down to get some champagne, she used her key to unlock the door. And before that, when Bunny answered the door to the murderer, she probably didn't have any key with her. (I don't think she always has everyone's keys with her)
Bunny gets there by the secret passageway
@@lehuonggiang9584 With the big needle stabbed in her chest? She can manage to climb onto the secret passage way and crawl carefully without making the needle go deeper?...
Something always bothered me about the "Ms. Gambolini is a witness" thread this season.
How did the Parrot sitting in a cage in Bunny's apartment witness a murder in Mabel's apartment? It just doesn't make sense...
She was sitting in her apartment when the killer came, we saw that in her special ep, and dragged her to Mabel's still alive i guess
This opening line in this video is why I had many issues with season 2. Too many lines like this(usually uttered by Mr Short) that are glaringly inside 'jokey' through this season-that continually take you out of the story as we are hopefully going to accept them as clever.
Anyone else unsatisfied with the reveal of Poppy being the killer?
Her name was Becky Butler. I'd have been unsatisfied if the Butler hadn't done it.
Mee
No. I was actually quite okay with it. I was ready to throw hands if it was eithr Alice or Cinda tho. Like those two are too predictable
Not unsatisfied, but suspicious. I don’t entirely trust it.
I didn’t like it but I love the show overall.
Alice role is useless they should've kept oscar
Alice
But Alive knew something. She made the puzzle pieces for Mabel (the flowery headdress) and Mabel holding the podcast “all is not ok.”
Can we just acknowledge that Cinda Cannon sounds like the word ‘syndi-cation’🤔?
Or that Cinda's arc is "Canon"
Her name is Cinda Canning.
11:20 fun fact in the fireworks there’s a hidden Mickey
As in Mickey Mouse?? What’s the connection??
@@Emeraldgreenshimmer i assume maybe they are trying to say it’s like a little callback or reference to selena since not only does she play mabel but also she’s well known as alex russo on wizards of waverly place on disney channel
@@versacehottie4720 or that this show is a Disney show it’s not that deep lol
@@Emeraldgreenshimmer that it’s owned by Disney
good video
Although there are several plots that when to the pipeline like the introduction of Amy Schumer to the show for example.
Yeah, that was kind of random.
They never do things for no reason everything is always thoughtfully placed we will probably see more Amy next season
Maybe Amy was the her Charles was referring to when he was talking to Ben or maybe she killed him
The previous season always sets up the next one
Ursula probably knew and let Poppy know. Ursula told one of the guys that a woman was asking questions.
I think OMITB clues this year are related to Hamlet. They have showed posters and made references to it. Hamlet was visited by his Ghostly Father and that's why we saw the haunting at the theater. Then in Hamlet he dies by poison and stabbing. His brother in the play was the murderer. I think Dicky killed Ben.
What happened to Oscar in season two?
He left they explained it I think
Oscar said he was trying to get away from being reminded of Tim's killing. He told Mabel that he wanted to go open a Yoga type place.
Mabel said that they decided to be friends
🔥
Poppy was the one thinking on the name of the podcast "Only murderers in the building". Fun thing is that the murderers, the detective and her, were not residents "in the building". I think she planned the name to steer the attention to inside suspects.
another thing that was interesting was why would bunny, who knew she hid the real rose cooper painting in mrs. gambolini's cage, leave the bird to oliver in her will?
I always thought she wanted him to see the painting
It is always disappointing to learn that it was filmed in LA and not in New York.
I didn't miss any of this... And neither did anyone else.
❤️❤️
this video has brought one last hole from the second season into my mind: when detective kreps (aka glitter guy) summons all the podcasters into the apartment, he ends up telling the main trio that williams was away on maternal leave. but we later find out that he is the one pretending to be williams w the main trio over text (well, not him personally but his gf poppy, who was also there, so he probably knew). WHY WOULD HE TELL THEM WILLIAMS IS AWAY IF HE AND POPPY ARE RELYING ON THE TRIO THINKING THEY'RE TEXTING W WILLIAMS TO STEAL THE EVIDENCE??
It was Poppy that sent them the message to get out of the building.
Krepp is a mediocre police --- just getting orders from Poppy
Just finished S1 onto S2
Didn’t this just ruin it for you??
@@lynnhettrick7588 I didn't see this vid.
Theo also found the secret passage,i was convinced he was it.
1:40 that's not hidden at all, are you kidding ?
Will they keep it on Hulu or will it ever come to Disney plus
It's a Hulu Original Series. From my understanding, it is on Disney+. I don't know anything about Disney+, but think it has OMITB on in other countries(UK, Australia, etc.).
Disney+ shows this in the UK, but it's listed under STAR instead of HULU!
How did Bunny end up in Mabels apartment?. When she got stabbed she was watching TV in her own apartment.
He killer guided her there to frame Mabel.
I love Selena Gomez.
Wait it’s poppy Aw man I didn’t even realize a new episode came out I thought this video was upto ep 9
Guess I’ll try to be more careful next season
Same. I thought I was caught up, but apparently I wasn’t.
Before poppy killed bunny
There was another person who try to kill bunny
This season was amazing I can’t wait for season 3 it’s going to be so good
Who was wearing the ankle bracelet???
Theo Dimas
Teddy, & Theo both have ankle bracelets
It is good, not great but good. It can be contrived at times, and blatantly manipulative at other times. But on the whole enjoyable. I see it as more a dark comedy than a murder mystery.
Trivia: How many of you know that Cindy is real life partner of Steve Martin??❤
😊🥰

Then I was bored in the follow up.
Haven't watched it since.

You should have kept watching the show picks up
Sucks being you
You are definitely missing out..your loss!!
I never thought that there would be two killers in season 2. I definitely thought that Cinda Canning or her assistant poppy was the killer mainly because they were outside of the arconia when the cops showed up and the podcasters were being arrested! There's no way that they could have found out that quickly and have everything buddy much up an outside of the Arconia that quick.
