Im of the opinion that Pult is probably a trap for worlds. As it stands, I dont think that the deck is quite there yet. It obviously functions and can win games, but zard is just at another level with the dusknoir line without being collateraled by special energy hate like current pult builds can be. I think that pult is really going to come into its own once we get crispin and other support from stellar miracle and then becomes the the best abuser of the dusknoir line.
I wonder if for dragapult ex, with the new dusknoir/clops, we start playing it like the vmax when it came out. It basically takes the place of horror enerrgy/zigzagoon. And we start playing heavy iono/arven and use evo tm and just gust around and wreck havic.
We have some good cards that are arguably better than what we had when that archetype was around.
Henry and I already cut drifloon and bravery charms in prep for the tool hate, so if anything you could just follow that if worried about tower and vac. Mew ex is still gonna be strong bc not enough people are respecting it as a strong attacker in gardy.
No drifloon charm is pretty weak into big lizzard though
@@OmniPoke yes, but mew ex copy zard at 3 prizes taken is 270 + either double monkey or 2 monkeys over 2 turns is ko 😮
Yknow what deck is real good into gardy? Baxcaliber. I've never really been a fan of chibax until recently playing it a lot on ladder. Counters lost zone pretty hard too. The only real problem matchup for chibax is ogrebolt and it really only is slightly unfavored like turbo roaring moon was.
In my opinion, Gardevoir is the BDIF. It can utilize Dusknoir as well and use it as a Munkidori target before popping it. Dusknoir Zard can be scary but I think that skilled players will be able to combat it (maybe Hyper Aroma over stamp?). I dunno.
I think Chien-Pao can probably play Kyurem because you have the Cologne play naturally, idk if the deck needs to play it but it's an extra option
not needed, ninja is just massively better.
pao doesnt need dead cards for every mu but lz, which is already favoured, and a terrible started which clogs the bench
How is Dartrix killing charizard? It’s a stage 1 unless you are evolving it but that seems slow
Yeah evolving 😅
Seems worth it if zard is popular enough
Wondering when you would talk about Tina…. Lol at the end…
I think the main upside of the Loyal 3 isn't the Okidogi ex, but the Munkidori ex
All the stage 2s could still be on double counter catcher and just farm pecharunts anyway, + gardi uses their own monkey to take 2 and move on regardless ( draga can too with counter placement)
@@OmniPoke yeah that's fair, in this current meta it might not be the greatest because of all the ways around it but it is what makes it stand out compared to Bolt
Great video and approach!
Biggest takeaway from this: way too many people have way too big of trucks for absolutely no reason
Its only me or kyurem appears tô be the perfect conter for Lost box
😂 that’s kind of the whole point
gl on worlds!
Xerosic's Scheme is why i have officially declared the Tinkaton ex archetype dead, lmao. it is a shame, i really wanted that card to be meta :(
oh it wasn’t the fact that the card has exactly one (1) CP-earning majors placement in its entire history?
@@andrewp6738 sad but true :(
Not every deck play Xerosic card
Play that Amoonguss that makes the opponent lose their hand for trying that trick.
Am I the only one who actually sees the potential in Mewtwo ex in Gardevoir
You can't accelerate to it using gardevoir right?
It will possibly be meta in Gardevoir come Stellar Miracle since it lets it have 8 bench slots early. There's still a lot of theorycrafting and testing to be done.
I'm close to a good list I just can't justify running single copies of certain things
First
I wish The Pokemon Company adds side-decking onto PTCG it would make the game way more interesting
No way. Techs are too strong and too easily searchable. Every single sideboard will have 2 manaphy, 2 Jirachi, 2 Flutter Mane, 4 E Hammer, etc. Part of the challenge of Pokemon is planning for the entire field with the 60 you have to bring to every round
I think it would be interesting to explore but pokémon has too many tutor effects with no interaction for sideboarding to not really warp the game
I think pokemon would benefit more from moving to a best of 2 format
